I've started to do some simple sentence cards now, they're much more challenging to make (which is something he warned about) and that caused me to lose some motivation and momentum over the last two days.

I just got through today's cards though and I'm feeling good. Being able to produce a simple sentence from a single word prompt is a really nice feeling.

I recently read through Fluent Forever by Gabriel Wyner and am starting to put his process into practice for learning Latin.

I'm through the initial sounds and first 100 words. Now I'm starting to build out my first language island.

So far the process has been going well, I've used #anki plenty in the past but never took the time to sit down and create my own cards, I do think that makes a big difference but the real test will be when I get deeper into grammar, declensions and conjugations. Learning vocab and pronunciation has never been a struggle for me, my problems always come in when I try to start stringing those words together into sentences.

His method seems sound enough to give an honest try though so I'm staying hopeful as I start making my first simple sentence cards 🤞
