A concrescence of Mind fumbling with the controls of this meat chariot. Nostr onl

There are some that I don't want to mess with. National forests, swamps, or other ecologically diverse places.

But there's a lot of hilly land in the west that's not ecologically interesting at all. They argue that people don't want it, which is why they keep it. I want it...

Too busy. Looks like a horny toad.

But I get your point and am looking forward to the return of architecture.

The US gov should stop squatting on 40%+ of our land.

They should release it - don't sell it. Just give it away. Its stolen anyways. But if they are going to sell, the best price possible will be before they buy #bitcoin .

I'd like to be able to pick and choose the rules for my node... If there's a way, I don't know it

Okay, I dun my 30 seconds of study and now imma expert, so listen up cuz I'm bout to do some mansplainin...

Its noise propagation. Some people's job is to make noise and get people's interest. Stir stuff up. Fill page space. Fill attention space. There doesn't have to be a reason. When its needed for a reason, it won't stand out.

A war with aliens? That started today? Where do I sign up? I'm crazy good with the plasma rifle, just toss me into a big group of grunts, no prob

#madeira real estate is crazy, but what is most crazy about it is that for the price, it's actually cheap compared to the same quality of fittings in continental europe

there is a shit-ton of granite and marble produced locally here, and shitloads of wood, and as a consequence, you get stone benches and wood floors as a usual standard feature, and if not that, then at least some of the flooring is luxurious black ceramic tiles

this current listing on idealista is a case in point

https://www.idealista.pt/en/imovel/33826871/

now, for those who may be pondering this, this location is very out of the way, on the west/southwest edge of the island, and is not easy to get to without independent transport... a taxi from funchal will cost you about $40 one way

but when you get inside these places, the wood, the quiet, the clean air, the bbq outside, the stone benches and suchlike... crazy... probably still cheap even though the property is relatively high in demand

i like the stone benches and the wood

but it's still expensive by my measure

and the cinderblock construction is shitty acoustics, even if they make the nice floor

and madeirans, especially on the populous south, are noisy bastards, so, it's not peaceful unless you are far out like this example, and even then, they are often noisy from time to time, but it's not so bad having some rock and roll playing once a month out of your neighbour on a friday night or at some hall across the valley (the valleys are echoey because of the stone, of course)

anyway... i don't mind it, i'm just used to balkans standart... cheaper, like 1/4, and better food, better transport

i miss balkans

Looks nice. Price looks good to my american eyes. And local granite and marble... If I was there, I'd be learning to carve that stuff.

it's true, but focusing on that was a very specifically austrian/german socialism criticism, and quite notable in that after the war asking any questions about teh history became a heresy in almost all mainstream culture

and in concert with pointing out that the nazis killed a lot of other people than jews (they hated gypsies and asians and gays and artists) the regime of Stalin also was pretty heavy going against jews, the Pogroms of Ukraine and Poland and those regions heavily focused on exterminating jews, and as you point out about the anarchist branch, they really aren't socialists, but rose out of similar circumstances, all across the world...

Eric Blair aka George Orwell originally was inducted into socialism but fell into contact with spanish anarchists who opened his eyes to some things and gave us the famous books (animal farm and nineteen eighty four) that are both allegories of what socialism actually is.

it's the thing that irritates me the most about "right wing" people is that they, and all the left wing of the "counterculture" types don't even realise that none of this is about races, or political stripes, it's just about covering up the existence of the ruling class, and creating an illusion that what happens was the choice of the people

it may well be there is numerous genetic lines, of which some are labeled "jewish" but it goes back way further than merely 2500 years ago in the middle east... in actual fact it goes back over 12000 years, but anyway

Its all narrative, and the narrative serves the purpose of transferring power from average Joes to... Not average Joes... That analogy broke down. In China, the story of communism is presented as virtuous, like the story of the American Revolution. People believe it enough to not be a threat to power. And people here are passionate about the Revolution and Washington etc, but it doesn't change the fact that we're taxed and nothing we say can stop whatever war is slated to happen next.

I guess it depends on how western is defined.

I misunderstood your note the first time I read it. IMO, the whole bible has to be understood within the context of the time. So its not a genuinely self referential language... But it does come close. Many verses only reveal their full meaning when combined with other verses, often in other books, that use the same symbols. The context of the OT was Egyptian, Babylonian, and phonecian (grr, spelling) symbolism. The context of the NT is the Hellenic world, and might require referencing Greek myths. Might. I'm not ready to prove that.

This, imo, should be a hint that much of, or maybe all, of the bible is not literal. I'm in Texas - I'm surrounded by biblical literalists who have no tolerance for a rational examination of symbolic meaning. This might be why I like pursuing it so much...

Self referential just means that everything required to understand is contained within the thing. Language is meant as the concept of rationality - rationality is language, fundamentally. Strong's Concordance is an external tool, which is helpful, but a strong indication that the NT isn't a self referential language. No need for Latin. That's a historical irony! Anyways, I try to deal with the language of symbols, which carry over between spoken languages, as well as over time between traditions.

Another interesting bit is that international socialism appears to have had a lot of Jewish leaders. So that might explain some things...

This is not an anti-Jewish note. Just a passive observation.
