I've just got moved in to my new apartment. I've unpacked my PC tower and installed Umbrel. So far, so good! I'm now initiating my self-hosted future.

I just figured out that if I use nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm to log in to nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg, and then set up a second account with Alby, then switching Alby accounts and refreshing the page effectively switches which Nostr account I'm logged into Primal as.

Neat!

I spent some time learning about soil health summer of last year, and one thing that came up repeatedly is that more and more of these monocrop farms are experiencing ecological collapse. It's getting to a point where the fertilizer simply doesn't work anymore.

The soil can still be revitalized, but the farmers either can't afford to shift from the subsidized crops, or are otherwise afraid to make the necessary changes to adapt. Ending the subsidies will be a painful ripping off of the band-aid, but it's sorely needed.

I also use salt with my food, I just don't think of that as a "supplement" in the same way as I take the other minerals.

I look to meditation as an effective way to charge the spirit. I can imagine how something like this would be beneficial for someone as they are still developing the discipline for it, but less so for someone more practiced.

I go back and forth, but I'd definitely benefit from meditating more these days.

I high dose iodine, taking it with magnesium every day,. One of my few regular supplements (zinc and electrolytes being the others).

I'm thinking about writing a long post about Mineral Balancing in the near future. I've been learning about it for a while but only just this week settled down enough that I can consistently focus on things outside of my day job for the first time in several months.

With what I've been learning about mitochondria, I think that mitochondrial health is the most important aspect of health we can focus on.

Agreed, and I think other nations think that too. I wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing about other countries making seizures where possible.

I don't remember how it started, but in college I used to joke that I wasn't really there, just a simulation of what it would be like if I actually was there.

Huh, maybe it depends on which client(s) you're interacting through?

It's good to know that there's still some appreciation for making the effort out there in the world! The reciprocal is also true from my perspective.

nostr:npub1py8yuj8q0ce3k757k5n4xfu5j6dtzzrdm7jdsp0llzxxxk8f69ws9zgr8n was running an email service but I don't know what happened to this person, sadly

Thanks, yeah it looks like he hasn't been on in quite a while. I feel like this is some low hanging fruit for a Nostr dev if they wanted to pick it up.

Or maybe I should just learn how to code for Nostr!

#AskNostr are there any clients experimenting with using Nostr for email and/or calendar functions?

This question is inspired by frustrations about different calendar platforms not syncing with Outlook...

The two that come to mind are Firefly and Cowboy Bebop. There's really a LOT that could be done in the sub-genre

Good morning y'all! Been traveling and I'm getting caught up.

Are we the $98k gang now?

Hardware is generally a low-margin revenue stream. It's not wrong that you should pay attention to shifts in business strategy like this, but the underlying reasons are important and it can actually be a good thing. From what I've heard about S9 this recent shift actually makes market sense.
