chronic early adopter of decentralized tech :)

I look forward to when nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg finds a way to build an ad network.

People will complain, but it will be a major milestone for Nostr. Clients finding a way to make money other than donations or “premium” subscriptions.

Wouldn’t it make sense to have a private mute list as well as a public one?

Sometimes a user finds someone annoying, but not necessarily spam or malicious.

Coracle now has an "Explore" tab. This one is unique — it doesn't rely on a centralized server for processing recommendations, zap count, like count, or DVMs (sorry nostr:nprofile1qqs04xzt6ldm9qhs0ctw0t58kf4z57umjzmjg6jywu0seadwtqqc75spzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejsz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmcpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqp93tlf ). Instead, it pulls NIP 32 labels from your follows to show you topically-organized content from your network.

Anyone can create or contribute to curations by labeling content using the note overflow menu — but no one is forced to look at them if they don't follow you. What this creates is basically dynamic, crowd-sourced lists based on your social graph.

This release is just the first pass at the idea. Hopefully, with nostr:nprofile1qqs8hhhhhc3dmrje73squpz255ape7t448w86f7ltqemca7m0p99spgpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuegppamhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5hkly8m 's help I'll be able to refine the design to include people and external urls, and include dynamic lists in custom feeds.

# 0.3.5

- [x] Fix scrambled person list

- [x] Add NIP-32 labeling for events

- [x] Add Explore tab which surfaces labels from your follows list

- [x] Add NIP-36 reports

- [x] Fix zaps bug

- [x] Fix person info relays

Big things are happening

The irony is that Primal is a major driver that is pushing clients forward to better UX

Idk how to reference a note lol. nostr:note1t998tvrn27m5ydqhxnkn7tcaurj5u9j0lmr39yjlyjjuc3nlpaxqdqzsqe

Private posts are completely possible on nostr.

The author of the private post would keep a list of people (call it their “circle” maybe), and they share a decryption key with everyone on this list.

There just hasn’t been an NIP describing an ideal flow yet

What makes you say it’s possible there and not on Nostr?

The benefit of Nostr in my opinion is the frictionless sign up. Password management is so terrifically bad that keys would be a relief for most

The UX that would be needed to make the relays work that way is quite complex. And it would be costly as well (considering free relays only exist during this hobbyist phase).

The idea of sending to multiple relays is to increase redundancy. If you only send to one relay for one purpose, you are defeating this feature of redundancy and data availability.

I think it is more likely that we will have either

1. Multiple accounts for different purposes. (Not ideal because we want to build the reputation on just one account)

2. Multiple lists of contacts to which we send “private” posts. (I think private posts are so obviously necessary and I’m surprised they haven’t seen an NIP yet)

Just some thoughts

I would like a small social app. Something to facilitate family and friends. Not about connecting globally over some topic.

Profiles are public but posts are not. Maybe limit friends to 150 or something

What happens to Nostr if Github takes down the NIP repo? Real question nostr:note1aaa7kwh94lhwnt5kx88qldn046hnectz8r0kls0dtravd8kvs44qpwgml0

Shouldn’t it have profiles for applicants? A way for hiring managers to see info about applicants, endorsements, accomplishments, and (maybe) a feed?

Not sure how this data could be separate from other Nostr apps though. Maybe it’s better to just advise that people make a new Nostr account. Otherwise we need a way to store separate profile data for each app. Maybe more like filepaths like nostr:npub1g53mukxnjkcmr94fhryzkqutdz2ukq4ks0gvy5af25rgmwsl4ngq43drvk talks about.

A good first step, but it misses the point if it’s just a job board. The value of LinkedIn is the network

First impression of #Ahsoka is really good. Good production design, hot characters, interesting story
