chronic early adopter of decentralized tech :)

Can the app recommend some common tags like that? I’d hate to make a gluten free recipe and not have it show alongside the others bc I don’t format it right

Question about tag formatting: should I make a “gluten free” tag with a space, a hyphen, no space? What is the standard on there?

I think abduction cases are some of the best evidence of the existence of aliens actually. I recommend the work of Dr David M Jacobs. A lot of his interviews are deranked on youtube but here is a book of his. He started treating many clients that were abducted and began finding the patterns in their experiences.

I’m glad that people are waking up to the religious aspect of this

The idea of tightly weaving sentiment analysis into social media is genius

Apple is so weird about specific things like that idk why

It does have terrible UX, true

Found on Bluesky:

> nostr is kinda cursed. i'm shown as having reposted posts i don't remember ever seeing, and of course the relays don't let me delete so i can't un-repost them...

Reminder that delete isn’t just about changing the past of some nefarious thing that people dream up. It’s also about very basic functions like not having silly mistakes clutter your feed

“X should allow duel challenges (privately flown to an island without extradition laws).”

Nostr (and Bitcoin) fixes this.

Part of it is just that there are competing visions for what Nostr can/should be. And you have to make your opinion about pros and cons known if you want to persuade others.

Nobody is negative or argues about that sort of thing in Bluesky because (1) there is only one team in charge of the protocol and (2) everyone already knows what it is and what the roadmap is.

Why would a client show annotations but not edit history? The UI for how to show annotations seems a lot harder to think up and get right. Meanwhile edit history as been done in many non-nostr apps already

Oh nevermind actually. I was wrong. Privacy is actually better in this use case

> peer-to-peer protocols are naturally better suited to secret sharing, due to there being no central server that can be surveilled to detect the possible combination of share-holders that a secret-owner might choose

Nostr seems especially good for that use case because Shamir’s Secret Sharing requires messages to be broadcast as far and wide as possible (prioritizing data availability over all else). Put up the bat signal lol
