It is wild how El Salvador has embraced Bitcoin properly before the USA.
Part of that is on the Biden admin, but these last few weeks have been an open goal.
To think that in many countries, there is no way to accurately view your mobile coverage to your ISP, or any ISP as a matter of fact, is really bad.
At the very least, there should be a way to see if you can connect to the internet with a particular network in in the area that you're standing.

Obviously, bootstrapping your own LN node is hard, but it is also fun, because you get to understand how all the parts fit together, and it's what I do.
But some people prefer apps like Strike, Phoenix, and others which you can download on your phone and open all the channels for you. Maybe because they don't have the budget of many hundredK's of sats required to open enough channels to be well-connected. Or maybe because it's just easier.

I have a pet peeve on WhatsApp. I have absolutely no reason to use it except to talk to my dad, who *does* use it. I'm trying to get everyone off of it, and go to Telegram, the other popular coordination app.
But I understand that Telegram is not much better in terms of privacy.
