This plant is an excellent botanical example of "muh experts" advocating for the destruction of useful resources and being utilized by large, economically fascist companies to sell more herbicide.

Sadly, in my region this species is cut down and large amounts of herbicide are sprayed directly up to the waters edge, with overspray hitting the water along pretty much every accesible waterway in our region.

Lord only knows how much herbicide is applied to our wetlands as a result of this plant hatred.

Furthermore, firefighters are made to believe thay there is magical properties when burning this wood that would cause it to be more deadly to humans or cause more creosote buildup, so it is not even utilized to heat homes in most cases.

Bees love the flowers, sheep love the leaves, my biochar pit loves the limbs, and the wood is beautiful for woodworking and burning alike.

to elaborate a bit on the idea, I'll make a few claims:

degeneration is a negative feedback loop.

it causes individuals to become desensitized to the aforementioned spiritual aspect of sexual relationships
