The other day I felt compelled to draw out a spider diagram of areas that are my focus right now (I find it easier to think visually)
It was interesting to see that the majority of them would all vastly improve if I was to tackle what is, frankly, an unhealthy relationship with my phone.
• Moved my phone out of the bedroom at night.
• Deleted X.
• Installed an app that blocks me from NOSTR between certain hours.
It's day 2 and already I'm a better thinker, worker, Dad & Husband.
A credit card is the only way I can have zero fiat stored at all times.
Put all my monthly spending on it, then sell BTC to clear the balance every month
Every time I've ever tried to time the market based on consensus thinking, it's backfired.
That said, I've just taken out a personal loan to buy sats 😬
I've heard this book bandied around a lot, and it was very tentatively on my 'to read' list. I'll definitely make it a priority to read.
Thanks for the recommendation 👍🏻
it's entirely possible I haven't hung around enough rich families to see the weak child syndrome with my own eyes
Weak children of rich parents is the rule, not the exception.
I often wonder what I can do with my kids to not make them little cunts should #bitcoin make me as wealthy as I think & hope it does.
Do you think about this at all, and how will you / are you handling it?
As a kid taught to conform, there's nothing more admirable to me than people who possess the will to say fuck you to incompetent authority
I think it's why I enjoy the #bitcoin community so much.
Sometimes I'm driving along minding my own business when suddenly I''m overcome with anger at how governments raid the savings of hard working people through money printing & inflation.
I can't wait to see their currencies slowly but surely collapse, and their overreaching tentacles hacked off.
Tell me about it.
Quite frankly, I think my neighbour has seen enough.
We all know #bitcoin rewards low time preference.
I'm sure most of you reading this were '2 marshmallow kids'.
And of course we're all pretty smug that hedonist no-coiners are out there partying, whilst we're sat at home watching Michael Saylor videos and stacking sats.
But take it from someone who has spent their adult life living for the future....don't lose sight of what you're doing it all for:
EXPERIENCES and RELATIONSHIPS.
They form the currency of a good life.
Bitcoin's price will take care of itself. Stop focussing on it and instead focus on your plan to start living your life as soon as possible.
In a few measly generations, no one will remember you.
I've seen a few of his talks, an interesting human.
My phone homepage reminding me my:
• FUTURE TIME
(how many days I've got to live given an average life expectancy)
and my
• STORED TIME
(price of #bitcoin)

Yep - I've read all the books man, and of course they don't act out to deliberately spite you.
That's a difficult sell though when you're on a few hours sleep, you're hungry and your kid has just hit you round the face.
Ah he's out of the woods now, but appreciate it 🤜🏻🤛🏻
As someone who has seen their child go through extreme pain over the last few days, I find this to be true.
It's gut wrenching.
I'm not a religious man. Far from it.
But more and more of my World views are lining up with Christian ideals.
