I personally have no interest in Nostr if it becomes anything remotely like existing social media. Sane defaults for new users are one thing, but the majority of moderation needs to be done by individual users.

The moment it becomes possible to effectively block someone from being discoverable, Nostr ceases to have a legitimate reason to exist imo. I'm hoping smarter people than be will be able to walk that line, and navigate through it.

I just found a bunch of pictures in my iCloud account from someone else entirely; no idea who that person is but they happen to be in the same city I was at a few days ago (madrid) when the pictures were taken 😐

When I left Twitter some person laughed and implied that I was crazy to ditch 6000 followers for a totally new platform.

I didn’t even reply to him because I felt sorry he cared that much about the follower count. Congrats on being beholden to a pointless vanity metric! 😏
