A much more worthwhile use of time š
Good morning!
I am braced for a day full of posts from the righties explaining why Trump trounced Harris, and posts from the lefites explaining why Harris trounced Trump.
Ahh Merica!
Good morning ladies...

Good morning!
This election season remember:
Idolizing a politician is like believing the stripper actually likes you.
I have no respect for dudes who canāt mindfully, actively care about womenās issues.
I have been violently assaulted, brutally betrayed, had my livelihood threatened, consistently harassed, I canāt leave my home without making preparations to be sure that Iām not assaulted again, I have to teach my daughter how to avoid being assaulted, I am the shoulder to cry on for my friends when they are assaulted⦠and yet, through all of that I make a point of consciously, consistently, actively caring about the lives of men, and the issues that effect them.
I do this, actively, consciously, because it is the only honorable thing do to. It is the only respectable thing to do, to actively care for others, to actively care for those whose pain and experiences are different from your own, despite your scars.
If I am capable of managing it, they are too.
Well I agree with a lot of you thinking here, but it's just a miracle that people can grow and change in the same direction with another human for decades on decades in a row! Even in non-abusive relationships I don't think it's a good idea to expect 0%.
Real humans change and grow. It's not realistic to expect everyone to stay with someone they chose decades ago for the rest of their life. Sometimes divorce is healthy.
What do yo think is a healthy divorce rate?
At 1% I think something has gone wrong... like is divorce illegal in India? And at 90% clearly something else has gone wrong.
So what is a healthy rate? I'd say about 20-30%. You?

...is that how long it would take a star link to get delivered there? lol
We will know that the patriarchy hangover has left our system when it becomes strange for a woman to change her name when she gets married.
I donāt vote and I often get accused of not caring about humanity, or being lazy, or dumb because of that. People ask me āwhat are the consequences of not paying attention to politics!?ā and I say āwhat are the consequences of giving my time and energy to politics?ā
Politics is reactionary. Politicians arenāt leaders, they are just doing what they think will be popular and what they get paid to do. Politicians are followers.
What actually changes the world is us. Our culture and our technology.
I too want a better world, I put a lot of effort into making a better world, and I do that by building better technology and encouraging a better culture. And this is where I think my time/energy is most impactful.
I scroll social media and see angry rant after angry rant and I feel exhausted. How much time and energy are all these people giving to reflexive fear mongering debates?
What if we took all that energy and instead put it into changing what is popular, and changing what is possible?
Election derangement syndrome has taken over all my feeds.
Sometimes I think life is all just an exercise in choosing your values.
Iām thinking about this a lot today as my feed is full of praise for āthe Strongmanā, the ākingā š
Here is the whole 2 hr podcast! https://youtu.be/0xfHkU8tNsQ
TLDR: train harder, lift heavier, etc from the start of your period until ovulation. Then go easier until your next period.
I was listening to a podcast with a doctor discussing how women can optimize their workout routine by varying their workouts with their cycle. It makes sense and I think I'll try it.
Ladies, have you had any success with changing your routine to coordinate with your cycle?
It's fun to ponder! ...how would that play out? I think Texas might be a bit of trouble. And really California needs to be cut in two lol
...this is like a movie reference that I'm not getting, ya? š¤ š¬
Hear me out y'all, I have a permanent solution to American election season madness... š

Should AI be regulated cuz it can be used to create explicit images of others without their permission? No. Here is why:
People can create whatever images they want to create, they already have this ability via imagination, paper and pencil, etc. Itās only a problem when someone uses those images to harass others. Itās a problem when someone tries to make those images someone elseās problem.
Our imagination and our tools for creating images arenāt the problem, harassment is.
For example, most humans have unwittingly created graphic images of others without their permission. Most humans do things like occasionally have a graphic dream about a colleague, etc. If that happens to you, are you a big creep? Of course not, youāre just human. Now if you walk into work the next day, stop by Bobās desk and say āGood morning handsome, guess what you were doing in my dreams last night?ā Then you are a big creep! And you are a big creep not because you have an active imagination, not because you created a image, but because you tried to make your imagination someone elseās problem. You were harassing someone.
So what if instead of just having a graphic dream, or sitting around day dreaming about someone, what if you actually drew a picture of them? Is that wrong? I think itās a bad idea! Mostly cuz itās going to be super embarrassing for you if anyone ever finds it. But wrong? Nah. Not wrong for as long as you never let those images be anyone elseās problem. They are your problem only.
AI is only a tool for drawing better pictures faster.
We already have all the regulations we need around these issues cuz there are already consequences in place for those who harass others. If we have issues here we should be thinking about how we handle harassment.
𤣠Okay I get it, a troll account.
Very nice, now go waste someone else's time.
I hope you are joking, cuz this is a comical display of collectivism.
"women"
I just have not respect for those who complain about the ugly things that it is common to say about men in some segments of our culture, but then have a complete inability to care about the lack of physical safety for women in the world.
Itās totally fair to be upset about the man bashing that happens in the world, Iām with you there. But you need to be divorced from reality to think insults are a more pressing issue than physical safety. And it shows how self centered and emotionally immature a person is when they canāt distinguish between these two things.
