Interesting thoughts. It is a weird realignment we're living through. He characterizes the new divide as those who still listen to the "mainstream media" (I'd say regime propaganda) and those who don't. While that probably is descriptively accurate, I think Tim Pool's classification of "in the cult vs not in the cult", gets at the deeper divide.
I personally view it as those with Stockholm Syndrome vs those without it. Our camp is very large and is essentially only defined by not going along with every new fashionable absurdity being pushed on us. The people who do go along with everything do so because they've elevated the "elites'" stated views and priorities above their own.
Same. I think it's a doomed venture anyway. Nostr + Bitcoin are better situated to achieve his stated goals already.
Those are major factors, but I think there's a much more fundamental factor: in an environment of material abundance, many people will chose to consume well beyond the point that is healthy.
Ultimately, it comes down to time preference: I can enjoy the sheet of brownies now, but I won't get fat and sick until later.

So the white liberal leftists and the mentally ill goomers hate this song because it is "muh racist", but by and large black people like it, especially rural blacks. Why? Because, the song has nothing to do with race for a start.

If you look up the percent of people that live in rural America it will say it is only 20% but this is misleading. Almost half the nation lives in "small towns" outside of urban ares, towns with populations of 1,000 -5000ish people. This is a song that gives those people a voice.
None of the crazy shit happens in these places, the people there simply will not allow it. While all the cities full of self important assholes erupt into riots every 10 years or so and cops harass kids selling cookies while drugged out people shit in the street.
