I have increasingly had the feeling that big blocking is not dead. I am also question to what extent the big blockers may have been correct but just far to early.

If bitcoin were being invited today, I would expect the blocksize to be higher as what 1MB represented in 2008, is now a significant larger number due to technological deflation (in spite of inflation and fiat games)

Bring it on. I’m interested to read. Having spent some time on the Sov Ind fringe, my critique would be that society at large will allow Sov Inds to act with full and amoral impunity on or digital information standard. This seems highly unlikely.

I’m reading “Superabundance” and I’m more coming to think that bitcoiner, if we are to be anything think Sov Inds, will simply be a new column of social / technological / wealth elites - in varied states of opposition, competition, and collusion with other existing member of today “status quo” elites.

If we accept that 1) human civilization (ie anything beyond hunter-gathering) by its

very being results in social / power elites and 2) competition between elites tends to more liberal outcomes in society (insomuch as the people can leverage competition between elites to their general gain over the long term) - then bitcoiners emerging as a new elite that is antagonistic to the old elite, this is probably a good thing. But the nature of both elite competition and “common” society will constrain bitcoiners ability to wield power in an unchecked manner. This is also a good thing.
