Yes, I agree a nuclear explosion would be problematic for those in the vicinity.
Can we stop simping for politicians who say nice things about Bitcoin now? https://www.breitbart.com/2nd-amendment/2023/06/29/rfk-jr-says-he-would-sign-assault-weapons-ban-if-it-reached-his-desk/
I don't understand this conflation of Bitcoin with ultra-libertarian/conservative values of owning high powered killing machines.
It's ok to support economic/monetary freedom via #Bitcoin and at the same time realize that there may need to be limits in the amount killing power that one person is allowed to hold in the name of freedom.
nostr:npub17u5dneh8qjp43ecfxr6u5e9sjamsmxyuekrg2nlxrrk6nj9rsyrqywt4tp, do you support the right of individuals to hold tactical nukes to preserve freedoms granted in the Constitution?
It suggests that it's ok to work less and expect the same rewards/treatment.
How are you measuring body fat? There's a fair amount of variation in methods. Are you getting DEXA scans or doing a displacement method? Or one of the at-home estimators?
We're in a race to avoid the war. Supporting eth in any way is antithetical to Bitcoin's mission.
Source me, bro
The increased dependence on government insurance coincided with the transition from a savings based economy to the debt/inflation fueled system we have now. Insurance used to be what it's namesake says: insurance against unexpected events. Once you transition to insurance = healthcare in general, the whole system becomes unaffordable unless you subsidize it with public debt.
This guy gets it. Have a zap from my custodial wallet
Having $10 worth of bitcoin in WOS in order to zap is not a big deal
I think credit and debit cards will continue to exist even once #bitcoin is the unit of account. I have a hard time imagining people wanting to carry a large amount of final settlement currency on their phone with the risk of being robbed at gunpoint. Probably will carry enough in your #lightning wallet for small transactions like you would cash, but for larger purchases out in public, you might want to carry a card that is no use to someone who mugs you.
Question for the group:
Is any work is being done to make it user friendly to time lock long-term cold-storage wealth? I still worry about ransom/extortion as an attack vector for Bitcoin because of its digital final settlement. Being able to say "I can't send you my Bitcoin because it's time-locked for 30 days" would be very powerful. If it was verifiable on the Blockchain, then this could be a deterrent as well. Follow-up: What would this look like in practice and are there unintended consequences of time-locking?
Saw this on Twitter by Wilf. Posting this so I have a record of it in my repertoire to explain to Bitcoin newbies:
Imagine if there was a form of money usable by every person on earth with a phone. Money that no corporate giant or hostile government can confiscate. And, unlike the dollar, its buying power goes UP over time.
That's Bitcoin.
Yields usually "un-invert" BEFORE the recession happens.
The Fed be like:

But I want to send $5 worth of bitcoin from the exchange to my iphone wallet NOW. I don't want to wait 48 hours for this hype to die down! ME ME ME!
Speaking of a fair and ethical system, I love your podcast (I only really listen to the Bitcoin fundamentals), but do you find any irony that you share TIP with others interviewing fund managers that benefit from the infinitely inflationary fiat environment that pumps up stock prices?
Lol. Totally agree. But you know what? Give me the seed oil and the cow tit. Who the fuck knows what's good for you anymore these days
I'm a hardcore bitcoiner, but I honestly don't have a problem with this. If a business engaging in free market capitalism wants to make the switch to oatmilk for whatever reason, who are you to judge? This is the type of toxicity that pigeon-holes bitcoiners into a cult of intolerance.
BTW, love your work on the fight against the IMF.
