I’m of the opinion that many young people who disrespectfully demand you do this or say this have never really been punched in the face.
I mean a good, square shot, with both feet planted, and hips swiveled.
When you have been punched in the face as a consequence of not correctly estimating or respecting your surroundings it has a tendency to cause you to be more reflective in the future.
More reflection is generally a good thing.

I would very much like to try abolishing Empire, and living without a State. I AM doing this to the best of my ability in my own life. But I’m also going to vote for who is least likely to strengthen the Empire until Empire is gone.
The idea that not voting somehow weakens Empire sounds like propaganda created to keep people away.

It’s like you gave them water in a desert. Their shoulders relax, they smile a little, and start talking.

People say time is a flat circle.
Personally I suspect that is because they think 2 dimensionally.
I think time is a spiral 🌀.
I think it cycles around, mirroring what came before, with new contexts, people, and situations.
I also suspect it looks something like a Mayan calendar, with interlocking spirals of different periods of time. There are definitely 60, 100, and 500 year spirals…. probably more.
And every once in a while, like on the Mayan calendar, several cycles converge at once. Which is where I personally believe we are now….
