I don’t want a spot ETF because it subverts one of, if not the most, important qualities of #Bitcoin - self custody.
Is there a case as to why a spot ETF is good for bitcoin that I’m missing? Outside of the initial increase in price?

Busy Monday and Tuesday over here before the annual golf trip the rest of the week. Gotta grind the next couple days.

I valued my ‘gift’ in fiat terms but much prefer your idea of a fixed amount of sats each year. My daughter is only 2 so I can change now and still have quite a few years to implement.
Outside of that I just take all the fiat gifts to her for birthday / holidays / baptism and buy Bitcoin with it, transferring to her own wallet I’ve created for her.

But like you said it works for you and we have the option for setups like that or similar which is cool. Options are important and everyone will value different ones for their wants and needs, balancing ease of use and security
