Ah, here we go. Something like that

I swear it was somewhere on a notifications list. Now - nothing. Oh well, all is good. Carrying on 🤷‍♀️ Cheers

Is that why I kept getting notified that you unfollowed me? Once is fine, but twice or more? That’s some nostr voodoo.

And I lost all my contacts recently, had none saved, but rebuilding.

What a sad story. An older person wants in on "cryptocurrency" but also wants to give all money to someone else to manage and make profit instead of buying any, fine, let's stick with, "crypto" themselves. Plenty of people lost a lot, but I thought all at least knew what silly coin they were buying. This is just about giving money blindly to a "crypto" company and expecting a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow... And the family says "There was a complete failure to protect my father" - from what, actually having a choice and making sadly a bad decision?

PS I am categorically against scams like that. But what is the answer to avoid such tempting scams, especially for vulnerable older people?

That's great! Is it a true water-only fast?

These days, people define it surprisingly loosely, I noticed.

Delete is an essential capability that abslutely exists already and that each self-respecting relay should support and each self-respecting app/client should implement (NIP-09):

I am sure they will all get there. No excuses.

Here you go. What’s your answer?

Do you remember the moment you signed up for Nostr? What brought you to it?

For me, it was seeing all those strange long npub codes showing up on twitter. It peeked my curiosity, eventually, as I was looking to get away from twitter. I didn’t want to support that and vote for it by being there, but couldn’t decide on an alternative.

I am having so much fun writing and then adding #nostr notes through #nocomment that associate with a note about an article (thanks nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6).

Recently, I was on a roll to figure out how to get rid of a ghost old system extension on my mac. Those don't go quietly into the night. Once I had it clear in my head the how, I decided to write it down:

https://verityj.github.io/2023/06/12/extensions.html

and now I can add a comment section, yay!

Really? I'm jealous :) I can do anything on #primal, as long as I don't click on "Post" or "Follow". Those two buttons are clickable but empty, on every browser for me. With Alby or Nostore extensions, permissions granted. What the...

I use Orion on Mac. Alby installed from the Chrome extension store did not work at all. But Alby from Firefox Extensions is perfectly functional. But please add the preference to not have it pop up automatically on page open 😉

PS: I think Orion is being cute on its FAQ on which extension version to choose. All up to the extension developer:

Why are they still covering this every hour of the day? Slow news week?

Is this El Salvador? Definitely does not look like Chicago 😂

Orion and Alby work great, but it is way too easy to think they don't. Example: I open Orion and the current page is primal.net. Even if I navigate away from it with a new window/tab, still primal will finish loading and Alby will pop up - center of the screen. If I am also clicking on Orion windows, that pop up can easily get covered.

I don't like the automatic nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm pop up - it can get buried. I wish it waited for me to click on the extension, only then log in. Is there a preference?
