"12x gift" is only 8bytes, and you could store any amount of bitcoin there...
Might be over-simplifying...
I'm inclined to disagree. They share many of the same characteristics of a hard money, but bitcoin tends to outperform in most of these categories.
This is not to say that bitcoin and it's network don't offer an immeasurable amount of opportunities that gold simply can't (try teleporting gold for example...), but in my mind there are definitely a few parallels that can be drawn, even if doing so is a bit reductionist and over-simplification.
You just don't get it. She has special teeth. They are durable, fungible, portable, divisible, and can be teleported over a communications channel.

Their current (non-credit) card is a pre-paid debit card.
You can also purchase gift cards for places you shop via Fold which earns sats.
So a few different ways to skin the proverbial cat (since skinning dogs is out of the question, right nostr:npub1vgldyxx7syc30qm9v7padnnfpdfp4zwymsyl9ztzuklaf7j5jfyspk36wu ?)
That's correct! You also get ACH bill pay (with bitcoin rewards for non-free members, 1 daily spin wheel spin (I tend to average 10 sats/day), and free withdrawals of purchased bitcoin (they pay the miner fee).
Additionally, you can deposit bitcoin and "push" it (sell) to the debit card for spending, so fiat deposits aren't the only option for adding funds to the account.
Personally, I like to avoid $5 ($10 in 2025) wrench attacks...
If appoved for their card, I'll just move my spending to it and take the 2% back in sats over the 1.5% in fiat I'm getting from my current daily driver card.
I've actually since switched back to Fold. Not due to any issues with Strike's services (they're fantastic), but just out of a desire to get a few sats back on transactions and to avoid the ~1% conversion fee in and out of fiat.
Just for the sake of full transparency.
LMAO. SCHIFF? IS THAT YOU?
