"whats the point of zapping anyone when I can just keep all my bitcoin?". Whats the best rebuttal to this mindset? #asknostr

1. Healthy body to allow me to run

2. The privilege of time and space to be able to think

3. A beautiful world filled with people I can people watch

nostr lottery....bot creates a note to represent a lottery event, degens zap it within a 24h window, bot chooses random zapper at end of window (higher zaps have more weight) and zaps the whole potluck to lucky winner. This your plan?

Had an online order flagged for potential fraud. Called in and they literally just asked me for the same information I had entered on the order. Now, I may not be the smartest but if a fraudster puts the order in, how does asking for all the same input again boost the confidence in the validity of the order...?

Google Maps is the one Google service I cant seem to escape on my degoogling journey. Yes, apps built on openstreetmaps can be a good alternative but the reviews data for things like restaurants and the fact that people will only share Google maps links these days when sharing locations makes it hard to escape.

Announcing: Harbor, an ecash desktop wallet for better bitcoin privacy.

https://blog.mutinywallet.com/harbor/

Privacy for the common person is a value worth fighting for. When we see a lack of freedom tools, we must build them into existence. They don't appear on their own.

Much has been said about privacy at the Bitcoin protocol level. For now, we build it on higher layers where we can be more nimble.

Ecash is a tool available today that combines with Bitcoin to bring new levels of common privacy. Cashu and Fedimint are two existing implementations we're interested in.

Harbor Privacy: All communication runs over Tor. Mutiny is not in the middle of any connections or transactions. Funds in the wallet get a Privacy Score to show how the mints provide privacy over time. More to come on this in the future.

Harbor Multi-mint: Instead of relying on a single mint with your funds, spread the risk over dozens or more. Harbor manages this for you, showing you a single balance while connecting with mints for you. A mint can go offline with minimal impact on you.

Harbor Automation: Running as a desktop app unlocks ability to do long running processes in the background. Move money in and out of mints on your preferred schedule to maximize your desired level of privacy. Harbor makes suggestions, but you are in control.

Move money in and out of Harbor using Lightning or on-chain. We love Bitcoin, and we love privacy. We hope Harbor gives everyday people more privacy and peace of mind.

Wow, this sounds awesome. So in automation, are funds meant to be automatically moved in and out of different mints and is it that process that in turn increases the privacy score and reduces the link of identity tied to funds?

I run graphene and I could care less about the pixel's stock features. I own a pixel solely because it supports GrapheneOS. If the only GrapheneOS-supported device were a BlackBerry, then i'd be rockin a BlackBerry.

Say hello to https://silentpayments.xyz/

Wanting to learn more about Silent Payments, see which wallets support them, or find out how to integrate them into your wallet?

I've built out a website with all of that info and more to do what I can to speed up Silent Payments adoption.

excellent! looking forward to more wallets adopting this

did we really tho? I wonder if US users will still be able to dl the APK off GitHub and not be geoblocked in-app

Makes me think that Bitcoin point of sale systems should be E ink 🤔

Amazing. However, suits won't like this one bit. Sending sats without the KYC metadata they so desperately want to be able to surveil.

Still no NY bit-license?

Sparrow already has phenomenal docs at https://www.sparrowwallet.com/docs/. More docs about Sparrow outside of that space would be redundant IMO.

However, a video would help those that learn better visually (or the lazy fks who don't read..)
