And who is the enemy? Is it Putin? Zelensky? Your own state that was forcing you to give billions to Ukraine without asking you? Just like my own state does?

What's the difference between paying Ukraine taxes and Russia taxes? There's no difference, currently.

If you had asked the people if they wanted their house to be destroyed or be part of Russia they'd have said the later. Which they did in a referendum in Crimea. A referendum not respected by Ukraine. The people don't want wars, people just want peace. This war was decided top down, especially with the help of Boris Johnson, who argued against a deal.

The people never want war. Only the people that don't have to fight in wars, want wars.

Being pro-war from the comfort of your couch is pretty hypocrite to say the least. Go fight in the war, if you want it. Talking is cheap.

When the bombs are in your backyard you protect your family and yourself. You don't throw yourself to die and run towards the bombs do you? No, you escape conflict and protect your family.

Because this is not like a barbaric invasion of pre-history. There I would agree that there would probably no other choice but fighting. No, this is much more targeted.

Honestly I don't want to say this but it's the most valid point, if you really want to fight so much, why don't you enlist and fight today? If you really think this is the last threat, why aren't you fighting it?

More rationality and less emotional responses is what can really reduce war.

I'm for the individual. And specifically for the individual against collective oppression, in any form. Ideology, nation-state, religion, etc, etc, etc. In my world there is better philosophy and not so good philosophy. And that's how I see the world. For me, this is all individuals legitimizing undemocratic and opressive ideas. Nation states are irrelevant. You lose your private property. You're not gaining any "sovereignty". You've now lost your house, life, etc, etc. You are not more sovereign if you actually escaped.

And then a lot of it attached to fear. "Do you think they'll stop before they get to you?". That's bad karma basically. You're finding a way to justify bad karma. This in Buddhism is explained by attachment, aversion, or ignorance.

There's a lot to unpack here. I could do it on a recorded conversion, or podcast. Because I think this line of thinking is precisely what will eventually lead to WW3. It's exactly the same feeling the lead to WW1. Precisely the same.

Anti war always. War is not a thing of plebs. War is a thing of dictators. On all sides. Don't die for dictators. Die for true freedom.

Why is everyone (on Reddit for example) suddenly, or not so suddenly, so pro-war in Ukraine?

For example:

https://www.reddit.com/r/MadeMeSmile/comments/1j37b5c/meanwhile_the_uk_parliament_is_more_united_at/

More weapons, more ammo, more defence, more soldiers, more war? Where's the diplomacy here?

They want to completely obliterate Ukraine and/or drag the rest of Europe/UK to WW3?

Am I missing something here?

Eheh. Fire.

I'm looking forward to see what the EU will do.

I do think if Trump starts buying Bitcoin as a reserve asset, it will make it very difficult for EU to compete. Because at least China, Russia and current US are pragmatic. Europe is just ideological. And that, like you said, is eaten by change.

Bitcoin influencers (and all "influencing") is a "niche" that will dissolve with better technology. There's no real need to influence people.

There's a need to educate people, not "influence" people.

Education requires long-form patience and a compassionate mindset, and also a specific goal. Not an influencing mindset.

The influencing mindset is disingenuous in nature, because it's rooted and separation, I influence you, I'm the influencer, you're the influenced. Which is like, okay? :D

It's not rooted in something specific, it's not solving a particular problem per se because everything influences everything and that's meaningless by itself. i.e what are you really influencing? There's no need to influence, there's a need to share, learn, build together, work together and educate.

So yeah, better tools will make people more connected to each other instead to "leaders".

Everyone is a leader and a follower, depending on the topic.

Of course he's a friend. I mean, for me, it's absolutely clear he has done a lot for Bitcoin and has been a fundamental piece of the whole thing.

One can be in his position and just retire and be absolutely fine. Instead there's something he felt he needed to do. And it's not just because of money. If one actually hears interviews, one gets it.

I think it's very clear there's a lot of philosophy behind nostr:nprofile1qyx8wumn8ghj7cnjvghxjmcpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqqg9rg869l7t43ats5gdsqrqh6njn5wjf0jpe0unvpekkredvllr6nqwfmhjz . He's been in Objectivist (Ayn Rand) meetings, he has talked a lot about the free market, the problems of the current system, the Covid reaction, etc, etc. He gets the whole thing perfectly at a very fundamental philosophical level and sees the end goal, he's just trying to shift the world in that direction and from the position he's in. The thing people don't get is that it's all gradual and one has to be very smart about everything. You simply can't move from the extremely centralized world we have to the decentralized paradise that many dream. He's helping build the transition, like many others.

In my view Michael Saylor has been fundamental for Bitcoin. And many others will follow his footsteps. But yeah, everybody is free to have their opinion obviously :)

Yeah, exactly. One can say perhaps that this move from London to New York is also or if not precisely related to that. Who knows right? Maybe it's likely that the US has gold maybe not all they've described :D but at least some...? eheh

But London...? Honestly I'm really not sure about that.

There was a great podcast with Tucker Carlson about the opacity of gold in general. This is getting to mainstream.

If gold (paper) is uncovered as a scam, then that's a 2008 level scam. And that I think will eventually bring a lot of minds (from other generations, camps, etc) to Bitcoin :) Because people will not know where to turn in this scenario... In other words, if gold is not even safe, then what's the alternative?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxWZO0FEQ1g

And also gold shortages. I think the next global crisis will come from the gold shortage in London. In my view the liquidity, debt crisis, will start there.

Because there's basically a gold paper derivative collapse already. It takes them 2 months to move gold where it took 2 or 3 days.

If the LBMA (London Bullion Market Association) collapses then it's 2008 again but starting with gold.

Jamie Dimon, JP Morgan CEO, one of the biggest holders of gold in London, has sold 30% of his stock last week....

I mean, 2025 in Europe doesn't look good to be honest. :D

Okay, and you really think his narrative of digital gold, digital commodity won't benefit the people that want to use Bitcoin as money?

Saylor is fundamental for institutional Bitcoin adoption, truly one of the great things that could've happened to Bitcoin.

But I get the model. Controversy wins, you have to be controversial to gather attention.

It really just hit me again. This is the first time in history that the governments can't confiscate our money.

One can literally set a "will" transaction and donate the money to something we really love and it'll be there, without doubt.

If you really think about it, that changes everything.

Germany Votes For Europe's Decline - A Comment

This time the mainstream was right: the forecasts for the German federal elections had already indicated that the only real opposition party, the Alternative for Germany (AfD), which was carefully isolated with a cordon sanitaire by the bloc of green socialist unity parties of the Davos mindset, could not make it to a relevant size in the German Bundestag. They have not even cleared the 25% hurdle that would be necessary to initiate committees of inquiry into the various ethical fault lines of the political power circle.

Four out of five Germans have voted for the continuation of Merkel's policy of open borders, growing Islamization, vulgarization of education policy, the overgrowth of inner cities in Germany, increasing regulation of the economy and thus the creeping but slowly accelerating death of the German economy and culture.

They have also, and now it is becoming European, chosen to continue with the Ukraine policy, i.e. they have supported the push by European politicians to build up their own war economy at a time when the Americans are retreating economically from the battlefield and, generally speaking, are returning to a policy of rationality. They have sorted out the infantile climate narrative as the last of the Mohicans, further fueling the zero interest rate policy of the European Central Bank's monetary policy and keeping the gigantic subsidy machine in Brussels running hot, which makes productivity and the efficient allocation of capital in Europe even more impossible. The Germans have earned their right to continue in this way by turning their backs on reality and refusing to recognize that they are geopolitically, economically and culturally isolated and will no longer play the violin in this orchestra of power in which the USA, China and Russia are now rewriting the score - power is moving from the Old Continent to the Pacific, and Europe is powerless in the face of this.

The new Chancellor of Merkel's CDU party, Friedrich Merz, an economics expert proclaimed by the media and pre-selected by the power machine, will forge a green socialist coalition that will consistently continue Germany's crash course with reality. We can already see the consequences of this catastrophe in the German labor market, which shed 200,000 jobs in January alone, in productivity, which has not changed for a decade, while in America, for example, the business cycle is picking up again, Germany is acting like the sinking lead for the European economy.

We can now expect a further centralization of the energy sector, a consistent policy against the interests of Germany's core industries, such as the automotive industry, with gigantic subsidies for wind turbines in forests, with nonsensical projects that destroy the cultural landscape of wind turbines and solar areas. The psychological warfare of the Davos clique continues, the demoralization through an aesthetic architecture of horror will continue to accelerate.

What could happen now? The Europeans will do everything in their power to completely eliminate the Maastricht criteria, to force Community financing through war bonds and to consolidate further political powers in their global government in Brussels. At the same time, an attempt is being made to consolidate the gigantic national debts of the European states of the EU under the umbrella of the European Central Bank in order to gain time to cover new collateral with new credit and drive forward the centralization of the economy.

The Germans have voted to impose the disaster that they feel and see in their own wallets in their own inner cities, they have now elected a new government that will certainly not survive the next legislative period, no matter what colorful offsets of incompetence and compliance they form their new coalition from. The lost Ukraine war will lead to the next government crisis, then there will be another election, then we will see whether the AFD gains further strength and the Germans may come to the realization that this path is a dead end. For now, however, things will continue to go downhill, with more lost years being written into the balance sheet.

The CDU guy did say they were closing the borders. Do you think this won't happen nostr:npub1scljc42jwm576uufxwcwlmntqggy9utwz55a6a2hqjy9hpl7uxps4pzprv?

The extractive system feeds on discord, hate and conflict.

If we focus on connecting with each other and creating a superior network of trust then that's how we make the old system obsolete.

The abundance mindset is about believing that we're part of a network of trust, where love, compassion and generosity truly exists.

This is why religion (or philosophy in a group) can be so important. Philosophy can be a way to create a mindset of abundance in a world where odds are against us.

It's a mindset. It's always the mindset. Everything starts with the mindset.

Everything starts in the mind.

I'm interested in the reasoning for this being censorship. Can you elaborate on that?

I've been diving into the mining centralization rabbit and have come to understand Stratum V2 is more open because templates are defined by miners.

So being a noob in this I'm really curious to know how is this censorship in this case?

Just look at the world's population and population pyramid.

Europe, including Russia, has had stagnated populations since 1970. That's right, the population is more or less the same since 1970.

This means all these wars, political wars, trade wars, are completely lost for the new generation. In Europe, of course.

The boomers will decide everything for the next years.
