Thanks!

Beech is so underrated. It has some plain straight grain, but a panel like that top can be very interesting if boards are mixed properly.

Plus is has some cool chatoyancy!

PS. if you build something out of that beech wood, feel free to post it in the community n/woodworking 😄

it is said that when the man that will mine the 21.000.000th bitcoin, his mining rigs will detonate like an atomic bomb

Oh the only electrons used were by my drill the hole to mount the base. 99.99% handcrafted

First attempt at fine furniture.

My wife nostr:nprofile1qqsf0wulp8fc3l6ma0hd45vmh2v46swfvtvjglrxd3kfp7yhazaxx3spzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtc9jkllk asked me a side table and I provided (I hope).

European beech shaker style side table 🤙🏻

Take two with this keyboard. I really like the concept but the leatning curve is steep indeed.

To be fair tho i picked it up again after almostha year and l'm not as slow as i expected 🤙🏻

Gm btw ☀️

What's happened? Is this still a csw related hearing?

it's still summer and I'm under the covers.

When are these glaciers gonna finally melt?

I hear what you're saying, but Snowden doesn't strike me as the guy who let the government dictate what he must and mustn't do.

I just think it's a question of reachability.

Nostr is cool but its userbase pales on front of the Twitter's one.

Bro anything is better than a damn Einhell or a Schwepp combo jointer/thicknesser @ 300€

I had this exact model, it has a SINGLE blade, produces terrible surfaces, has at least 3mm of snipe and 180db of deafening noise.

Let's not talk about the fact that pursuing 90° was just a dream.

Couldn't get rid fast enough, sold it for 200€

I believe carpenters used this "trick" for years. Those things do not have the same precision of a Starret square, but for framing and building houses it's plenty precise 🤙🏻

Whoa that's seems to be a nice thicknesser. Unfortunately Amazon Italy either has cheap Chinese junk or overprized decent stuff like the DeWalt 735 with flat blades at a whopping 800€ or a mid Metabo at 550€.

Yeah that #7 costed me a bit, but it's a joy to use. I only wish I would find some additional blades for replacement. The one it came with is too pitted on the back for my taste.

Lmao I always wondered how endgrain would behave in a thicknesser.. Good to know that it fucking explodes 😂👀

ATM these are my thicknessers, I'm in the market for a nice planer, but I don't wanna spend a fortune

So, years ago I needed a big surface area in my kitchen where I could cut food, chop vegetables without having to worry about where to set aside what I chopped and don't thrash my countertop.

I also needed a surface where to mix dough without having to worry about space.

So, instead of buying 40€ of cutting board/surface area, I picked up a hobby, spent thousands of euros in tools, built multiple skills (from sharpening, to hand planing, from chiseling, to chopping mortises and dovetailing), watched hundreds of hours of YouTube videos, read a bunch of books about forgotten woodworking styles and techniques, occupied what it should've been my car's garage to amount to this, a chopping board made of European beech and white oak.

I regret nothing.

Yup, I'm afraid my fiat wallet cannot keep up with it 😂
