Handyman engineer. I bounce from project to project. I'm often called in to do the finishing touches, bringing 90% complete projects over the finish line. Another wallet you can look into is eNuts. I believe an iOS version of that is available.

It's not as intuitive as other wallets. Getting the lightning address linked and NWC functioning takes a little effort, but it does work. If you want to try it again I can help walk you through it.

Honestly, until Minibits does roll out an iOS version of their wallet, I'd probably stick with wallet.cashu.me if I were in your position. It's a solid lightning and ecash wallet with full functionality, NWC, and custom lightning address linked through npub.cash. And it's pretty stable and reliable.

It's an odd problem, and I'm not sure what Coinos is thinking. If you can only redeem Coinos ecash, it makes it pretty useless. Every other ecash wallet is able to process tokens minted by any mint. Full interoperability. It kinda makes me question why Coinos even included their ecash functionality if it's so crippled.

Yes, that is odd. If you've never added that mint, or redeemed ecash from that mint, I'm not sure why it's appearing in your mint list. I wonder if they have some sort of deal with Cashu to automatically include it in Cashu wallets?

Never mind my previous comment. I thought I was responding to your issue with Coinos not accepting tokens from external mints. Doh! 🙃

If it's part of the employment contract he signed, he has to abide by it unless doing so is a violation of the law. I can understand why finance companies might want to prohibit their employees from having a bitcoin position as it may create a conflict of interest.

I saw how 0xChat handles the tokens. Also really cool. Although it requires that you use their integrated Cashu Wallet, and doesn't support external ecash wallets like Minibits, eNuts, or the Cashu.me Wallet.

I've heard good things about the BitKey and and Foundation wallets. Also, the Jade paired with Green Wallet looks pretty cool.

Wasn't some serious flaw recently discovered in Ledger?

nostr:npub12rv5lskctqxxs2c8rf2zlzc7xx3qpvzs3w4etgemauy9thegr43sf485vg is there any reason why a new mint would just show up on my cashu wallet? I only had minibits as my mint and just noticed 21.mint.me show up and I have never added it...

If yoku received ecash minted on that mint, it would automatically be added to your mints list.

The new Citrine release looks great! I love the new buttons and layout. It's very clean. And I like the Download Events function. Keep up the great work!

I've used eNuts. It's a pretty nice wallet, tho it was a bit unpolished and buggy last time I used it (on Android). I'm not sure if Minibits supports iOS, but I'm sure it's on their roadmap for a future relase.

Yeah, bummer. You'd think the iOS clients would would support this given its elegant functionality and appearance.

I tested using Amethyst. I other clients, you'll probably just see the raw token. But you can copy it to your clipboard and redeem it manually with your ecash wallet. I guess Amethyst is on the cutting edge of Cashu integration! Hopefully the other clients take note and support this integration in a future relase.

You just generate a Cashu token for whatever amount using any Cashu-compatible wallet, copy it to your clipboard, and paste it into a Nostr note or DM. Voila!

It's an excellent lightning and ecash wallet. The devs have put a lot of thoughtful effort into the design and functionality, and it's really come a long way in a relatively short time. It's stable, reliable, and intuitive. Features lightning and ecash support, Nostr integration, granular NWC, custom lighting address, and full Cashu maintenance functionality. I wholeheartedly recommend Minibits to everyone looking for a solid wallet.
