Handyman engineer. I bounce from project to project. I'm often called in to do the finishing touches, bringing 90% complete projects over the finish line. I'm good at making disparate systems talk to each other. * Zaps powered by nostr:nprofile1qqsf07zg4hxyccnkdp07fppxmetpfzru3fg6mgzx3nk8r7af8qnjjyg76vulm * On-chain powered by nostr:nprofile1qqsvxq03xdev3uxehjqcdkr5lfzl5vawmcf7vm6ps73m6ghwg8y4k2shaefxp *Always Buy the Dip* #privacy #security #linux #Android #networkengineer #infosec #SimpleX #dogs #cats #pets #cooking

Sending ecash on Nostr has gotten really easy. You just paste the Cashu token in a DM, and receiver clicks the Redeem button. It automatically transfers the sats to the lightning wallet you have defined in your nostr profile.

Alternatively, you can click the middle button and it will open your ecash wallet and you can redeem the ecash directly, or you can click the right button and it copy the token to your clipboard and redeem it with your ecash wallet manually.

It's been very cool watching the evolution of this process.

I think it has something to do with the communication link between the node and Alby Hub. For whatever reason, the connection is temporarily interrupted, and Alby is unable to automatically recover. That's what I suspect after seeing this problem several times.

One Bitcoin can buy a new car and fund a spectacular vacation!

When your self-hosted Alby Hub stops working, the first thing you should do is reset your node and reenter your Alby credentials. That fixes most failures. Interestingly, this doesn't happen with nodes hosted on Alby Cloud, only self-hosted nodes (Start9, Umbrel, etc.)

The best designs are borrowed from nature. It provides a way to incorporate millenia of evolution into modern design.

It's working now! ⚑

Some people go a bit overboard with their recipes. Each one must be crafted around a meaningful story intended to touch the heart. Meanwhile, I'm over here like, Fuck all that, I just want eat then goddammed pie!

I'm careful to stick with Haagan-Daz, B&J, Tillamook, and Van Leeuwen if I'm feeling fancy. All the rest are air-injected nonsense using substandard and shady ingredients.

I don't get the joke. Sometimes, things that sound a certain way in your head don't translate when communicated via text. Appropriate emojis can help, but nuance and intonation are often necessary, neither of which accompany text.

Vitor doesn't have anything to do with Primal or nsec.app. You're asking the wrong person for help. You should be asking the Primal devs.

It's crazy that you can transfer nearly $2 billion in bitcoin for only 3 bucks. And the whole process only takes 10 min.

3 public inbox/outbox relays

3 DM Inbox relays

2 private home relays

2-4 search relays

1 local relay

5-25 general relays depending on the content you want

They do a such a shit job of maintaining their supply displays. You end up having to the counter to ask for the supplies you need, which are free, and should be easily available at all times from the display. Adds like 20min to your PO errand.

Something's wrong with your zap config. I get this error everytime I try to zap you.

That's a very good way to summarize my feelings.

Oh no, it has nothing to with functionality. It's really good in terms of function. It's just something about the design and available settings. It feels like a very polished product that's probably great for new users, and others who like its aesthetic and flow. But for me, the robust customization, settings options, and robust support for the Public Inbox/Outbox model make Amethyst a lot more attractive. I think it's just a matter of personal preference, and my own specific needs and desires.
