Do you envision using this for on-chain transactions, or just Lightning? And how would on-chain transactions work given the extended time for confirmations?
Portable devices like that are more susceptible to loss or theft, so it's good that it's cheap, and safe. It's essentially worthless to anyone who takes it, and replacing it is less than $100. I'm excited to see what you do next!
Oh... I saw the URL on the bottom of the receipt. Is that a basic Android phone with a printer enclosure? Or is it a custom Android phone with the printer built into it?
Their website is down. I tried going there to check it out but got a 403 error.
Awesome, thanks! I'm still getting the hang of it. I don't really understand how they calculate sats because it said I'd get 6 SATs per hour when I started, and it's been going for hours now, and I've only got 7 sats. I must be misunderstanding something. I'm going to dig deeper into it tomorrow and okay some games to see how it effects my income.
As I said, there are some problems you don't have to deal with, but other problems are lined up to take their place. The point is that money doesn't exempt you from the problems life throws at you. But what often does happen is that people don't show you any empathy or compassion because they erroneously believe that because you have money, you have nothing to complain about; that whatever problems you're facing are problems we should all be so lucky to have. But you're dealing with those problems, that bitter, resentful attitude can lead you to feel lonely and abandoned. It can feel like nobody has your back, or has any interest in throwing an arm around you and being supportive. And it really sucks.
Don't ever let anyone tell you that having money means you're free from problems, or that your life is automatically smooth sailing. Because that's bullshit. Life dishes out shit no matter what's in your wallet. Maybe you don't have certain problems, but I promise you there are more problems just waiting to fill their spot. Exercise empathy no matter what, because tough times hits us all, and when it does, we all need some kindness and compassion. #musings
Oh you know what? I bet your image upload to nostr.build expired and Damus plugged in the default when it detected the file not found (404 error). You need to use an image that's not going to expire, so someplace other than the nostr media servers. Otherwise this will happen again once the new image expires. If you have a Mastodon account, you can use the image URLs for your banner and avatar from there. Those don't expire.
Go to metadata.nostr.com and re-enter your banner image URL. It sounds like Damus reset it. Use the metadata site to fix it.
Did you sign up with different accounts on your different devices? Or did you use the same account for all of them? I'm using my Google account, and I was thinking about installing it on my second phone using the same account, but I wasn't sure if it required a different account for each device.
I think Muun is superior to Aqua. But I'm not gonna fight about it. If people want to use a substandard wallet, that's on them.
OK cool. Whenever someone sent me a zap, I'd get 9 entries in my transaction log. Glad the problem has been addressed!
You will probably laugh at me and that is okay 🥹 nostr:npub1e86g54jj76spnjlyx272e65hlrl2jup4jr6xcx9xpr22vg6pztfqgr5ump showed me this app called “Ember” and between my wife and me we are making around 20’000 Satoshis per month clicking once a day to activate the “mining” process. It’s not much, but it pays for my streams and other funny Nostr stuff (AI searching recently) for sure! Hop on board together with me using this link or referral code ⬇️

I just signed up with your referral code! Enjoy the +12!
I just tried it, and it still accumulates sats if you close the app and remove it from your recent apps screen. It doesn't seem to matter if the app is running or not. Once tap the button to mine for the next 24 hours, it accumulates sats for the next 24 hours regardless of whether or not the app is running.

I believe they're just out on per-release. Check out the Solo Satoshi website and see if it's available for pre-order, or early reservation.
If there's anyone who can make sure services are running properly on their Start9, it's nostr:nprofile1qqs8fl79rnpsz5x00xmvkvtd8g2u7ve2k2dr3lkfadyy4v24r4k3s4sppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucn89ur9eu8h. He's helped me out of a jam on a few occasions now.
I think it's a Alby Hub issue. And Alby is aware of it. When the backend node goes down, Alby Hub isn't always able to restart services, and manual intervention is required to re-initialize the connection between the backend node and Alby Hub.
Minibits Wallet stores Bitcoin in Ecash format, and provides a wallet seed and backup function that allows you to do a full restore in the event of some catastrophe.
I think you can do that with Breez Wallet.
That's not correct. You can use everything from cash to gift cards to money transfer services to bank transfers. I don't think I've ever seen credit card as an option because all payments are p2p, and most people don't accept credit cards.
No, but it's the easiest and the fastest.
