My wife grew up never watching any sci-fi and had no interest . I introduced her to the Stargate series because I knew she would love the characters. She now loves and watches all kinds of sci-fi.
I group my tracks pretty much exactly like this. Something new I have been doing recently is changing how I group the midrange instruments.
Before I would group them by type, guitar, piano, synth….
I still start that way but as I’m listening to each part I divide them into low midrange parts and high midrange parts. It helps me focus my EQ decisions and I like summing it down to 2 faders.
Peer reviews needed!
I popped this track onto nostr:npub1yfg0d955c2jrj2080ew7pa4xrtj7x7s7umt28wh0zurwmxgpyj9shwv6vg to make it easy to access. Go check out my track "The Chemist" and let me know what you think of it.
I am open to all feedback!
I am still in the mixing process and balancing the levels of certain elements, but I wanted to get some input on how its going.
Let me know!
Also, what do you think about the artwork!?

The low end sounds great and I like how I can feel the textures of the sounds. Great job!
lol… the closet… will be a place to store stuff. I had some plans to make it a guitar cab isolation room but ultimately decided I can deal with loud guitar amps in other ways.
It will be a place to store boxes, microphones, and other stuff so that I can keep the studio space clean.
After I’m done with this closet area I’ll focus on the back of the studio that is under a staircase. It is currently full of stuff, which is why I need to finish the closet so I can clear the area under the stairs.
This area will have a return vent that goes to my HVAC, a deep cabinet to store guitar cases, and a bar/counter top area to setup a coffee maker.
It has been very slow, trying to balance my time between construction in the studio and working on mixing songs. Hopefully posting about it on a regular basis will help me get it done.
Progress update on my studio build.
Unfortunately I can’t make it this year. It’s right up against my family vacation to a lake house in North Carolina.
Check out the new song. I wrote one of the lines in the second verse. I’m honored to be apart of this cool community project.

Taco loves the song

I also just finished 3 body problem and really enjoyed it. I hope they do a second season.
I found some multi tracks from my old band back in 2011. We were an indie rock band based out of Seattle.
I’m in the process of remixing the 4 songs and I’ll post them on @wavlake when they’re done.

I agree, using the word connections is better than followers.
This just makes me happy

This the best resource I have found so far, it shows “trusted users”.
… I agree it will be interesting to follow
It’s not obvious to me that breaking them up would solve much. They do business the only way they know how to do business.
I think change has to come from the outside, something undeniably better. The good news is that people know there is a problem and are looking for a solution, giving space for innovation.
One of the things I miss about living in Germany is getting a radler
This could be fun to sample, make a loop, and add a beat
