One of my greatest interests in life is to understand the world around me. I think this is a natural compulsion that every human is born with. I also think this is a particularly masculine trait that I have a deep resonance with.
Unfortunately given the confusion around gender in our society I feel the need to clarify this statement before I can further elaborate on it. As the Hermetic principle states: Gender exists on all planes. Masculine is not equal to Male. When referring to masculine and feminine energy I am not referring to Men and Women. Although the Man expresses masculine energy to a greater degree than does typically a woman and vice versa. The physical form of the sexes expresses the energy of masculine and feminine in different ways. Masculine and Feminine energies also have distinctive and unique consciousness associated with them. This is also expressed by men and women.
There can be nothing without creation. In order for anything to exist, creation must take place. Creation can not take place in neutrality. Opposition is necessary. We call this opposition positive and negative, masculine and feminine, man and woman, anode and cathode.
Masculine consciousness is penetrative. It is action orientated. It is doing. Masculine energy desires to penetrate and explore consciousness. Consciousness of the individual and of the universe. To understand oneself and to understand the world around us.
In order to understand the world around me I have found it necessary to seek Truth. The truth of nature and the principles that rule and govern the universe.
I love my life. I love all of the experiences that are contained within it and I have an insatiable drive and desire to improve my life. To explore what it means to live and to be alive. To learn about and understand the thoughts and constraints that I have which detract from my ability to live a happy and healthy life. I consider it to be self-evident that there is something very wrong with the world we live in. Seeking an answer as to what the problem is has been the source of my deepest interest.
How does this problem manifest in myself personally? How does it change and affect my behavior, my health, my happiness? How does this problem manifest in my relationship with others, with my mother, my father, my spouse, my children, my friends, my coworkers?
As with any complex topic, and I would argue that there is no more complex a topic than this, there are a multitude of answers; all contributing and compounding to the problem or the issue. But first I want to clearly articulate what the question is and what the problem is.
Why is our culture so fucked up? Why do I see so much hate and anger in the world around me? Why is everyone sick? Why is everyone on a prescription drug? Why have health and happiness become the pot of gold at the base of the rainbow?
The simplest answer I have discovered is this; Its the money.
Investigating, researching, and understanding money has allowed me to understand the world around me with unbelievable clarity. The knowledge I have gained has changed the way I think, the way I interact with myself, the way I interact with others and the way I interact with my environment. Each in a positive way and has ultimately caused a cumulative increase in the overall satisfaction and joy I have within my life.
It's an error to assume that states do not collaborate in defense of seigniorage.

This is actually one of my favorite things about amethyst... I've been exposed to several different aspects and functionalities of nostr because of the wide ranging support of amethyst. This has encouraged me to explore those specific micro apps. I'll admit that the entire discovery process was a bit cumbersome and arduous but... We are early.

This is a good question nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z that pertains to me as I would be classified as smaller creator and would REALLY like to make automotive stuff into something I can live off of and get out of my part-time soulless 9-5 grind that I'm currently doing now. I do my automotive content right now as more of a labor of love as I believe in #nostr so much and want to meet other like-minded people who share in my passion. For now I do it for fun and to share in a hobby, but have thought about making it into a side hustle as I'm sick of my IRL job. If I could transition to something that allowed me to make $1500-2000 USD a month consistently and is something I'm passionate about and find fun in, I would be overjoyed and fulfilled.
Reality as a small creator, in my case, writing about often limited production cars takes hours of research as sometimes info isn't readily available, is inaccurate online/needs a fact check. Their is one time one of the features I have done, I had to actually go on a forum and find the answer as a simple Google search provided no results. I then have to write and edit a few paragraphs to make it worthwhile for people. Often times this clashes with other obligations, but for now I have made it work the best I can, but to be honest I know I can devote more, do more and provide higher quality value and create more value for people and #nostr if things like my job didn't get in the way.
Ultimately, my conclusion for ideas to make a living if I put on my entrepreneur hat on is by selling a physical products, a service or running events of some type to make a living or a combo of all 3. The only thing keeping me from doing the cool pie in sky ideas I have is lack of time and at times I'm unsure if their is interest in my content and lack of investment capital. I can't commit to anything if I don't know if their is interest here in numbers to make any of these things worthwhile doing.
I have seen some creator accounts link to Geyser to fund their efforts nostr:npub1hxjnw53mhghumt590kgd3fmqme8jzwwflyxesmm50nnapmqdzu7swqagw3 and nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 come to mind, but even bigger accounts like them aren't raking in the dough to live in any North American city at least from Geyser proceeds. I have thought of doing the same, but with no expectation I would receive anything from the broader Bitcoin community, just like here.
To me, whether someone can live off of proceeds exclusive from #nostr depends on a lot of factors and their business model. But for a lot of us the niche that we are creating content for is small and hasn't arrived yet here. For other platforms it is most definitely a challenge and likely efforts will end in failure as it's incredibly difficult to stand out from the crowd and centralized algos seem to be skewed toward larger creators in the niche. At least that is what I have seen from people I know doing Youtube and Twitter content. So to me it's almost a non-starter!
So from my perspective as a small creator, it would be nice, but I'm presented with a reality that it's unlikely I will ever make it, not saying I won't try any of my ideas I have planned, but to make any significant income to transition full-time is a far away dream.
I am grateful for all the support whether it's likes, follows, zaps, comments, reposts people have gave me thus far as I have never expected anything in return. I have been really humbled by this experience as going into it I felt people wouldn't care about what I have to say or the content I post about. So to anyone who consumes my content and happens to read this note a big thanks from me and I appreciate it more than you realize. Even if I might not interact with you on a regular basis I REALLY do appreciate you!
In the end I'm content with meeting like-minded folks and they can throw me some appreciation as they see fit, whether a zap, like, comment, repost, follow.

I think the chronological dominance of Nostr is one of the main hurdles for content monetization. There is no real ability for any piece of content to go "viral". Obviously there are no algos promoting/ignoring content. While this is one of the main benefits of Nostr I also think its, paradoxically, one of its biggest problems.
The chronologically ordered feed is what makes Nostr special and is something that needs to be protected however if Nostr is to turn into a platform that enables creators to effectively monetize I think it will require some sort of mechanism to distribute content based upon criteria that disregards time. As it currently stands, the ability of any piece of content to reach people is severely limited thus limiting its ability to earn sats.
The amount of information conveyed by a price in an open market cannot be overstated.
Nostr has the ability to balance and clarify price signals by providing a free and uncensored voice in cyberspace, which is a completely novel concept.
We now have the ability to attach price signals to content, to ideas and thoughts. The clarity of signal and information density that we can provide to an open and free market via the display of zaps is something that should be built around.
This signal is Truth. And, in my opinion, would actually be a good metric to build an algo around .

Once Apple removes Damus from their App Store, you'll still be able to use the app if you have it installed. New users won't be able to install the app. Current users won't get new updates.
But remember, Damus is just an app. Damus is not Nostr. And Damus users have been down this path beforehand. Damus users in China experienced exactly this. And do you know what? THEY'RE STILL HERE.
I hope that Apple and nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s can come to a workable solution. Until that day comes, you have plenty of other choices.
You can use a web client with Nostore to keep your private key safe or you can install one of the other Nostr clients from the app store such as Plebstr.
