This is exactly the conundrum that plagues us physically. There is clearly a tipping point where too much "ease" in our physical life causes us to decline (obesity, lower sperm count, sudden desire to cry or get angry due to low testosterone). In almost all the world you have to be near hyperconscious about what you consume, and the right type of exercise/lifestyle you need to avoid excess and decline. Clearly we need the same attention to our minds now.

Agree except the private sector always, often have misaligned incentives when it comes to the public services. Especially public services that by nature require monopolies.

i used to live there. I'm not a photographer but I would have near daily moments of intense pause where I'd be suddenly captivated by some scene, be it the skyline, the hustle of the masses, or some quiet isolated moment at night in the street. Must be amazing to visit as a photographer
