There are a lot more reasons for private follows then you have covered here. E.g. I may want to private follow all the people I know in meatspace to avoid linking all of them to me, thus doxing all of us.

Same goes with follows of separate interests groups, e.g. someone who publically follows bitcoiners, snowboarders, and people associated to Boston, could make it easier for anyone to track down them down.

I remember these from Twitter. I had a bunch of well maintained lists. I kept most public, but can see the desire for private lists too.

The terminology of 'self-custodial wallet' would be a step forward, or even better, just wallet or signing device.

Non-custodial also implies that I don't have custody of my bitcoin, it confuses me every time I hear someone say it. A custodial wallet is also ambiguous, e.g. "my Coldcard is a custodial wallet, I allows me to have custody of my bitcoin".

If anyone should want to associate a bitcoin account on someone else's computer to a wallet, it would be less ambiguous to call it an other-custodial wallet, or even better just stick with 'bitcoin account'.

Start looking at a PoW that is alien proof. With this type of power, they could reorg the whole Blockchain in a split second and never let any transaction be mined unless they approved it. Maybe these aliens could give us a hint for a better PoW algo.

This is a good outcome. Better then nothing.

This is a reincarnation of Pascal's wager and suffers the same fault: what if you pick the wrong god? This is the argument from inconsistent revelations. One could imagine an AI, let's call it Deridits' Basilisk, that would protect those who wronged Roko's Basilisk? The philosophical implications of all this have been discussed for the last 400 years.

Maybe somewhere in the middle ground would be nice

I usually smuggle my water on internally. Sometimes I'm so reckless, I ingest the dangerous substance right in front of them, that way I get to keep the container.

It's a great image. Whose the artist? On close inspection the B is missing symmetry where I would expect it on such a detailed image. From my experience this has been typical on Midjourney.
