I'm a skeptic mainly because of a very simple reason: given how many people would be seeing huge tanks being loaded into aircrafts I don't believe at least one of them wouldn't speak.

Also I don't see how it helps the government or anyone else doing it in secret. With other things there's a pretty clear direct benefit.

As a rule of thumb anything from a plant or fungus contains toxins. Whether it's worth it for you to ingest them is very individual but a good way to approach it is to try a sufficiently long period of perfect carnivore and then follow it by a period when you just add the tea. Compare results then.

This doesn't account for chronic damage (so e.g. if you did this with a high-oxalate food you could get kidney stones later but can't know based on that test) but better than nothing.

The quality of that research is garbage. Epidemiological studies with questionaires, comparing people who eat processed junk with those who eat processed junk with fiber (where it does have the benefit of blocking the absorbtion of the junk).

The only interventional study so far proved the opposite - zero fiber = zero constipation. Further there are many people who hadn't eaten fiber for years with no problems, so at least it's not universally required.

Any carnivore will tell you the obvious: you weren't eating enough fat. Try getting at least 300g of fat a day. This is well-known stuff.

The moon landing is provable - they have left mirrors on the Moon to allow measuring the distance more precisely. Just shine a laser at the moon and have a detector sensitive enough to detect the reflected light.
