agreed.

"You know, it's called rain. It rains a lot in certain places. But, now their idea, you know, did you see the other day? They just, I opened it up and they closed it again. I opened it, they close it, washing machines to wash your dishes."

-I give you one guess

-you already know who this is unfortunately, i don't have to attribute the quote

i gotcha. i meant something a little different.

for example, you purchased your other (non-work) sim card anonymously without kyc. however, that number is stored in your friends/families phones as "Jiri Eischmann". That information is no doubt uploaded by your contacts to various cloud services that either backup contacts (like icloud, google cloud, etc...) or messaging/calling apps (like whatsapp, signal, etc...).

So now that 'anonymous' sim card is trivially linked to you via many datapoints and it leaves a trail of location data 24/7 via cell phone triangulation.

However, let us say you instead used that anonymous SIM card for data purposes only. and used a non-kyc voip app to make your calls and that voip number were stored in your friends/family phone book. that voip number does not have a massive location history tied to it.

Now now, lets save the big guns until we really rip.

Bitcoin priced in gold is at the same level as March 2021.

yep, gotta repeat this over and over for the folks dancing about because of a 2% move yesterday

do you use a sim card based phone number or voip services?

from my understanding, if using a sim card based number it is trivial for your sim provider (and law enforcement or anyone else they sell your data to) to have an entire location history of your device from cell tower pings

some people. are lost. don't be like them.

the value of Bitcoin absolutely changes. bitcoin is money. money is used to buy (today or in the future) shit that humans actually want/need.

you can buy more or less goods/services with the same amount of bitcoin at different times, therefore the value of bitcoin is changing.

i used to need to pay 10,000 sats for something that costs me 1,000 sats today. therefore the value of bitcoin went up over that period.

this isn't rocket science.

They have enough time to educate themselves about privacy and make a good choice instead of buying a product based on marketing that's worse than an iPhone.

No evidence has been provided that a higher portion of our users are criminals. From our perspective, it's not believable.

meh, that isn't evidence. an old pixel isn't expensive. uneducated gangsters were the first to adopt pagers. uneducated drug dealers/users adopted cryptocurrencies and dark markets that aren't the easiest things to use. necessity forces learning, doesn't matter if you are 'educated'.

i also happen to agree that using grapheneOS doesn't make you a criminal. but a criminal would be well advised to use grapheneOS vs. another phone

so why don't you walk around fucking every hot woman that is willing to fuck you? why are you denying your humanity and your evolutionary desire to procreate as much as possible and spread your dna?

stupid take.

Do you really think people who resort to dealing drugs for a living are frequently installing GrapheneOS on their phones? It's believable that a few high level people use it, but not that it's a popular OS among drug users/dealers. No evidence is provided. They're mad there are some phones they can't extract data from.

do you have evidence that grapheneos users have higher disposable income and tend to be educated?

i assume these are just your educated guesses. i happen to agree with them. but i'm sure you have no evidence for it.

i believe bitcoin will grow less than 82% per year in USD terms over the next decade. I hope it continues to grow at that pace, but that seems unrealistic, the pace already begins to slow when you shrink time periods (4 year lookback, for example).

Here’s a response from Thomas sowell to you via ChatGPT. “The problem with this kind of reasoning is that it treats disparities as proof of injustice and systemic inequities as permanent explanations rather than challenges to be overcome. But disparities are not necessarily evidence of discrimination. They are often the result of cultural, geographic, educational, and behavioral differences. If outcomes alone are the metric, then success is forever unreachable for anyone born into disadvantage. That is a deeply fatalistic view with little room for human agency.

The example comparing a child in Mumbai to one in London assumes opportunity is a fixed quantity handed down by external forces. But history shows us that people from dire poverty, whether in Asia, Africa, or the Bronx, have dramatically changed their station by leveraging the tools they do have: family, discipline, education, community. These are not myths. They are the stories of immigrants, former slaves, and poor farmers who went from obscurity to prosperity in a single generation.

To say that you don’t have to do anything about it is cloaked moral indifference disguised as intellectual detachment. Worse, it subtly implies that nothing can be done because the system is too big, too unjust, too old. But that is a deeply corrosive idea. If belief in victimhood becomes your primary mental model, then your growth is already capped, not by the system but by your surrender to it.

As I’ve written elsewhere, the assumption that spending more money or passing more laws will produce better outcomes flies in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. What lifts people out of poverty isn’t abstract awareness of injustice. It is behavior, incentives, and opportunity. It is not a system that owes you. It is you who must adapt, strive, and rise.”

I'd also add, I never argued the child in mumbai doesn't still have to do everything he can to make himself a better life. That is the human experience for almost everyone, whether you were born in the ghetto of baltimore, the slums of mumbai, or with a silver spoon real estate mogul daddy in nyc.

i never argued you or i should do anything about it. simply that just like studying history, it is a fact that should be studied and thought about. many like to bury their head in the sand and pretend it isn't true. that is the only part i ever take issue with.

again, your llm can't understand the subtlety of what i said (well, it can't actually understand anything period), and simply regurgitates a response as if i said we must pay reparations because that is all it is capable of doing.

i think this is a good example of how copy/paste chat-gpt is going to dumb down the population by making people lazy, unable/unwilling to think for themselves, and yet believe they made some well researched solid argument

i say this with all due respect because you'll never know how much you helped me on my bitcoin journey and helped me stay the course through the bear markets

i'm not sure there is any contest. basically no politician with any real power has ever proposed doing anything about it.

i think its more of a culture war topics both the left and right folks in power enjoy throwing out there to divide the masses and create shouting matches. while they continue to loot and pillage a dying late stage empire

Its working out poorly. A fucking obese moron grifter is the president.

Do you think voting for him makes it better? Does that help you sleep better at night?

If you have 12 minutes, I suggest you watch this, I found it quite informative and it makes it easier for me to deal with whoever is in charge because these are just common things for the end of an empire

You can't vote to get out of forever wars and putting in a republican thinking you'll get out of forever wars is plainly retarded based on the last 30 years.

Trump could have pulled out of Afghanistan and chose not to. Biden did, albeit with terrible execution. Trump's handpicked DNI (and supporting cast) have all said that Iran not only doesn't have a nuclear weapon, but also isn't developing one, nor has it even authorized the funding for it. Trump decided (aka Bibi told him) to ignore American intelligence and instead listen to Israel's intelligence.

In my lifetime, republicans have started every "forever war" and democrats have ended them. I don't think this a left vs. right thing though those are the facts. The 0.01% that rule this country (left and right) love the forever wars. They love the power it gives them, they love that it opens up many new avenues for corruption, they love taking away rights of the citizenry.

TDS has nothing to do with it. I think the real TDS is believing that this man who has largely been a grifter his whole life with no morals would somehow lose his completely self serving persona in an effort to serve the American ppl.
