It's not. I randomly came across interesting topics while scrolling on Twitter. It's not the same user experience as going to a separate site like Habla and start scanning titles. That would work exactly like going from Twitter to Medium.

What is different in Nostr is that kind 1 clients could technically show long-form content (folded) and one could click to load more if the first paragraph sounds interesting.

Yes there certainly are conversations around. What I'm referring to are those 1/n tweets by the same author where they dive deep into a topic, things like that

Community and the parallel economy:

When we brought home our milk cow last spring Helen asked if she could have a quart of milk to taste. Ted and Helen are the oldest couple at our small church in their mid-80's. They are good friends, so that quart became a half gallon that we share with them weekly from our abundance.

Ted asked if he could pay for the milk. No. Just share your extras when you have abundance.

Ove the summer they have shared asparagus, blueberries, blackberries, rhubarb and honey. All things that we don't have on our farm.

Ted and Helen heat their home primarily with wood. Harvesting wood for the winter is a challenge at their age so the church community pitches in to make sure they are well-stocked.

This morning we brought them seasoned firewood and picked apples from their trees.

This is community.

Sharing abundance.

A parallel economy.

I've had alot to say this last week....

Can we have an honest conversation about Income Disparity?

#Bitcoin at any price may be out of reach for many individuals who struggle to make ends meet. Investing or saving in Bitcoin often requires disposable income, which is not available to everyone.

So, the question becomes;

How do we get bitcoin, in the hands of regular folks for them to have the OPPORTUNITY to at least start learning before the S curve to be able to benefit the most from bitcoin?

My solution;

#Nostr adoption, and those that have bitcoin already, teach others and zap their content to get them curious. We need freedom teachers, people like you, people like me, on all education levels!

Leading to the almighty question;

How do we freedom teachers significantly increase nostr adoption?

This answer, in my eyes is quite simple.

Time and One app,(cough #amethyst) for iOS and android for the general public to CENTRALIZE around.

I feel like "centralize" has just become a scare word for many....

But what about when people start centralizing around something, like bitcoin or nostr, isn't that adoption, in its purest form?

Can't you see it? The big picture?

I think you Devs are building what actually causes bitcoins S curve, to actually happen.

Change my mind, or zap me.

I guess I'm the one more interested in Bitcoin because I do the household finances and have an accounting/auditing background.

I try to talk to him about it and he's like

"I have people for that."

The same way he responds, when I try to ask him if we should take Electricity Contract A or B.

To him, that's all girl stuff and he has to ruminate on whether the universe is expanding or whatever.

Bigger picture:

- we have no idea what 'normal' climate variation is, on the scale of decades (which is the relevant scale). All data proxies (from before thermometers - eg tree rings and ice cores) are smoothed so that level of detail is lost. Plus they are absolutely awful data. (Plus thermometer data is awful for a ton of reasons...). So there is no basis whatsoever for saying that what's happening now is unnatural.

- what does "global temperature" even mean? It's not the average temp of the earth (which is a 3D sphere containing quite a lot of molten metal!). So it's some definition of "the surface".. ..but which bits? At what altitude? And do yo use a grid? But we don't have a grid of observations so you have to interpolate - and there are a ton of ways to do this. ..and what if you use a different grid? The more you think of it the more stupid and meaningless it is. The only remotely meaningful measure is total energy stored in the oceans - as any temp variation that could affect surface life is going to be driven by this. But nobody is interested in total ocean energy (it is increasing at a tiny rate and doesn't seem obviously to correlate to human activity).

The whole thing is a nonsense as soon as you start thinking critically about it.

I personally would want to see a Nostr Analytical tool that would basically map your interaction and engagement like X and IG does. You would see with you Npub the amount of followers in time, likes, engagement and all.

A lot of “influencer” or people in the social media space are interested in Nostr but have no tools to compare.
