"Espresso" refers more to the process than anything else. Yes specific beans can be roasted and blended for a specific flavor for your espresso. The same process is used for blends you run through your drip machine/french press/pour over. I recommend different grinds for different processes to ensure perfect extraction and a delicious cup of coffee.
My favorite espresso blend is 10% dark robusta, 30% medium yirgacheffe, 30% dark huehuetenango, 30% dark Brazil.

Dumped Apple 7 years ago because I thought their business model was lost. 0 freedom in how you use their devices. Been flirting with Linux since 98, and a full on affair since 2016, same year I went all in on Android now considering switching phones to move to grapheneOS. I have a hard time understanding people's loyalty to any product that doesn't provide you with the goods and services you want. Same people will claim "customer is always right" in a Burger King when they get pickles on their Big Mac.
