That makes you incredibly fortunate since today you can accumulate way more bitcoin than people will earn in the future - earning it will be the only way to obtain it then. Therefore, whatever the fiat price is doing, just be thankful that history puts you in a place where you can obtain a lot of sats for relatively few dirty pieces of paper!!

I’ve been thinking about Bitcoin security, particularly single sig vs multi sig. I personally have a single sig set up. I was thinking about dividing my 24 word seed phrase and giving each of my 4 trusted family members 6 of the words for safe keeping. That way I don’t have the technical obstacle of educating them about multi sig, which is much more involved than single sig. If someone discovers the hiding place of my seed phrase, they will only have a quarter of it and therefore won’t be able to gain access to my funds. Thoughts?

I don’t really plan to play with biodynamics. It seems like a set of stories that lead to solid practices. Bury soil in a horn dig up when the sun is right and such.

It works because your inoculating the soil with preserved microbes. The sun’s location is just a calendar.

I guess when there’s a scientific explanation I prefer it to myth and legends.

This just happened to me. For context, this person has quite a deep understanding of my philosophy on Bitcoin. This is why I've stopped wasting my time on people. No one really wants my opinion. They just want me to affirm the choice they have already made.

Asking for a friend, a hypothetical with round numbers...

If someone were to sell bitcoin that is in cold storage for ~£100k after some more pumps to buy something, like home improvements: extension, loft extension, landscaping a garden etc...

What way would you recommend doing it?

- Taking a collateral loan is both difficult in the UK and way too risky.

- p2p exchanges: not sure what issues you could face and whether to be concerned about bank account terminations if they suspect something or ask what the money is from and you say bitcoin (also you'd be doxxing the buyer as a bitcoin owner). Also how many trades would you need to make and is there a size of trade that is just too dangerous?

- Exchanges: will the bank block large transfers FROM an exchange? I hope they'd be more lenient towards deposits compared to withdrawals from your bank account. Also is £100k too much?

- OTC: what is it, can any pleb use this or is it a gentlemens club?

- Other options?

Let's brainstorm/workshop how to frame privacy.

On CNBC, the CFO of Florida said "I don't want the federal government knowing when my son went to the grocery store to go buy a bag of doritos at 2:15 in the afternoon".

I think this is weak sauce. It isn't that the government knows about a minor detail of your life that is none of their business, it is the overreaching surveillance, collection of data, and all the false conclusions that can come from it with no oversight and investigation.

"I don't want the government knowing my spending patterns and then using it to make policy decisions about how to run the country"

"I don't want the government to use my purchase history to penalise me in taxes because I refuse to eat junk and choose to eat quality from the farm so they bucket me as rich"

"I don't want the government knocking down my door because they took 3 months to track a dodgy drug dealer and traced some of that money to the change I got at the grocery store"

What else?

Built another compost container and flipped the #compost. It stopped heating up at about 121*F. I think it was too dry.

It depends on which schools you mean. Public schools? Probably not if you look at the state of them now. Some private schools maybe. I would teach my own children about it if I really cared that much (I do).

Frankly, I doubt this will ever happen. My speculation is that Bitcoin will move much like the web did. Most people use it now, but few have any idea how it actually works.
