Well, the way I see it - as a bitcoiner and ordinary pleb:
Are most alts security? - Yes
Is Howey test suitable to evaluate modern day digital assets? - No
Should SEC help protect people against scams? - Yes
Is SEC doing what it does in best interest of people? - Big NO
SEC is actually taking steps directly against interest of ordinary people. Disguising it as consumer protection. That rotten organization should be dismantled and most its members put in jail.

Not only that. Many people actively participating in bitcoin ecosystem are utterly misinformed & uninformed.
Just 2 days back I was talking with people with business focused on repairing broken ASICs.
They didn't know what Lightning is and despite repairing ASICs they didn't invest single penny in bitcoin but invested money in stuff like Solana and some shitcoins I never heard of.
Sad story.

If you don't pay taxes and IRS finds out and measures it for you, they add some super small percentage fine for each day you didn't pay taxes. (At least it works like that in my country)
Do you think they are adjusting this fine to inflation?
