Iris app ⚑️ The Nostr client for better social networks πŸ€™ Web, iOS, Android + (win, linux, macOS, docker) πŸ€™ How-to guides and features: https://docs.iris.to ⚑️

The pic shows how it looks here.

It could be that your other client's relays have not picked it up. Copy the noteid from one client and paste it into the Iris search box on the other and see whether it comes up.

If you're sure that it is published you could try to "Resend to relays" from the note menu.

It could also be that you're not logged in with your private key, you're offline or not connected to the relays. A quick way to see whether you're logged in with your nsec is to see whether the DMs are opening up.

If you haven't logged in on Iris for a while now you have a good reason.

Register a free Iris username that is easy to share outside of nostr. It works as a NIP05 identifier as well.

Some of you may have your current nostr username as a pre-reserved but it will expire early next month if you don't claim it.

That's not cool. You should be on nostr at all times 🀣

Have you checked whether your relays look good (= there are some and they have the green light). The main view has also the relay count symbol on the top corner.

It could be that your desktop relays have not picked it up. Copy the noteid from the mobile client and paste it into the Iris search box on the desktop and see whether it comes up.

If you're sure that it is published you could try to "Resend to relays" from the note menu.

Iris uploads them to www.nostr.build so that's a possibility that something is not working on their end. Yet, if you can get the picture URL from the original post (for example, "Copy raw data" from the note menu) and you paste it on a browser you can verify whether it's available.

pv 😎 Iris got some updates πŸ’«

The feeds (also in profiles) have separate tabs for "Posts" and "Posts and Replies".

Get your short Iris social link (it's free) from the Settings menu (iris to account section).

If you haven't tried our mobile versions here're the links:

If you hover right to your name where the three dots are it pops out a menu where you can with one click follow the user πŸ€™

Your follower count may seem lower on Iris than other clients. Iris rejects events from authors that your social network has not interacted with. You get way less spam and your follower count number is lower for the same reason.

Usually it means you have not logged in with your private key, you're offline or not connected to the relays.

if the post shows on your browser after publishing it you could try to "Resend to relays" from the note menu.

Badges are not related to the nostr address (NIP-05):

Blue = a followed user

White = you don't follow but 1-10 of your following follows the user (hover over the icon and Iris shows the count)

Yellow = you don't follow but over 10 of your following follows the user (hover over the icon and Iris shows the count)

Nostr address is the green one between the name and the bio (in the pic sirius@iris.to).

(There was an error in the early note but the FAQ should always reflect the latest info: https://github.com/irislib/faq#color-badges-on-user-names)

Could be a cache thing, We changed something a few hours ago. If you cmd/ctrl + R force refresh (on browser or quit the app) that might work.

It should look like in the pic.
