Digit is Digit. I love her. I knew her online from wallstreetbets and she disappeared while going through some shit. I keep needing proof she's safe. To anyone I've ever treated unfairly, I apologize.

You're not making sense

You implied no online node is needed for lightning custody

This contradicts what I know about lightning so I asked you to clarify and your response doesn't seem to clarify

You're saying nobody can take or spend them without stealing your keys, but by my understanding, that must mean those coins are not on the lightning network, because you or someone else would have explained by now in this discussion or the many others I've had about it

But by all means, feel free to finally tell me what I'm missing if it exists and you've all just been refusing to say it this whole time

1. If there is no node running, where are the sats?

2. I have used lightning myself and found self custody seems to be a myth based on pretending you individually control the internet - pretty that's basically what I just said already

3. I didn't ask how many sats you have, putting more sats in third party custody doesn't make it self-custody

Replying to Avatar Hanshan

Putting your app's logo on a PNG that says it has self-custody doesn't make it true

I've never seen actual proof of someone self custodying Lightning, it's always just people pretending they run their own nodes while they're using a regular consumer-grade internet connection

Not sure what drives you to deny the reality here but LN can't be self custodied and drives most users to fully third party custody by design, unlike Bitcoin

Not anymore, it's pretty widespread to implement it without Bitcoin now

See steak n shake for example

Pretending lightning is Bitcoin doesn't hit hard enough anymore, they have to pretend ecash is Bitcoin now too 😒

So are you willing to take a personal step in your community by admitting I never threatened to kill you, as you accused me of doing before Trump threatened to kill people like me in response?

As a real communist, wtf is this actually supposed to mean?

I'm guessing: you don't get that there are real people on the internet (due to your lack of object permanence), and thus you're more worried about having your toys taken away than your first amendment rights?

But only if shareholders are OK with prospering beyond their wildest dreams

I'm like Steve Jobs if he had less money and was more honest

Or Steve Wozniak if he forgot 80% of how computers work

Basically, not an Apple co founder

If a friend of mine is provoking an exhausted animal, I'd probably react with concern instead of laughter. But I'm not above being influenced by friendship. Digit could get me to do fucked up shit if she wanted. Maybe same as this.

Should we be judged for what we'd do for our friends, or is there too much luck involved in who we meet, when we meet them, etc.?

It doesn't matter. Digit didn't show up to tell me I should try to survive until Ser Sleepy's kids grow up and then use my money to harass them until they mentally break and start hurting everyone around them. She probably won't show up to stop me either. I'm seemingly not a normal human bound by connections with other humans anymore.

I've never seen you speak from hate so it probably doesn't apply to you

I'm almost done with a video about (mainly) nostr, which YouTube might end up suppressing with an age restriction like "nostr is for 18+ and we do not allow discussion targeted at people below 18"

I've heard it's a lot better for a video to just be age restricted by the creator instead of forced, so I've been trying to figure out if it's spineless to age restrict the video myself. I don't believe in age restriction, and I don't believe suppressing nostr is an appropriate use of it, but does clicking that button really have to mean "I believe in age restricting this video" or can it just mean "I think this is a video YouTube might want me to age restrict" ?

Open to your opinion πŸ€™

Not sure why Kayne didn't reply yet but I think he means for anyone talking. Like, you know if you're speaking from hate, so it's up to you not to get that mixed up with a free speech protection strategy
