Bitcoin remains indifferent to political matters; it’s the people who allow politics to shape their decisions and perceptions.

The situation is complex, and the reality is that we might never have all the answers. However, we do know that the Israeli people have just endured a devastating attack akin to their own "9/11 on steroids." This marks a pivotal moment where the gloves have come off, leading to significant repercussions.

Bitaxe Gamma has been ordered!

🚀 KEDS Stack (Knots • Electrs • Datum • Specter)

What’s new:

Built from source

• All components now compile from source rather than ship as pre‑built binaries—so you eliminate any risk of running compromised or tampered distributions.

CPU‑Miner included

• We’ve added a simple CPU‑based Bitcoin miner so you can test and verify your mining setup even if you don’t have ASICs on hand.

That’s it—run a full node, test mining, and keep Bitcoin on your terms. Contributions and feedback welcome!

I am exploring BTCPay Server for this use case, but I am too busy building the product itself, so I might be missing something critical that could make it unviable. Any thoughts?

GM, We are Knots!

We are all watching. This is going to end up being a blessing, exposing how important it is for people to run their own nodes. Thank you for everything you do!

Bitcoin PR #32359: Should You Worry?

This proposal removes limits on storing data in transactions using OP_RETURN. It doesn’t increase block size or bloat the chain—it only affects the mempool, which is local and temporary.

I run Bitcoin Knots because I believe Bitcoin should focus on financial transactions. But this change doesn’t break consensus and is reversible. Most importantly, it’s a reminder:

Run your node. That’s how you decide what Bitcoin is.

Ngit creates nostr events for commits, pull requests and issues and there is a nostr client (gitworkshop) for interacting with these events. Essentially this nostr client acts as a proxy between you and the git server, so you can continue to share a repo with users who are still doing social interactions on github.

This controversy could be an opportunity to move away from the network effects on GitHub..
