Working on the server on the esp32 micro controller irrigation timer. Yes it's python (technically micropython), I might get ragged on for that :D. I've built stuff in C for microcontrollers but micropython is pretty cool and super fast to put things together on these esp32's.

It just depends. Generally my thoughts are if something needs to do a thing, use a micro controller. If it needs to do a thing and a thing and another thing or if you are doing something more resource intensive such as computer vision, use a micro computer. Esp32 is a micro controller but kinda in between in ways

They have WiFI and Bluetooth integrated and are about $6 a piece. Building an irrigation timer with a server with this one. I think I'm going to homemade a chicken egg hatcher also
