Hillbilly engineer and plant nerd going feral

Eventually this seems will be the normal thing of shifting to specialize in a couple things, not just in food production.

If I am really good at growing vegetables, then I will likely grow a large market garden. Until I can count on getting healthy food that I eat elsewhere, I will raise a diverse range of crops and form relationships with other homesteaders. As this network grows, I see many people shift towards specialization.

I would say sats and soil are both apex commodities. Both are essential, we can not continue to 'export' soil and expect to last long. Some will focus on regenerating soil others will focus on earning and building around Bitcoin. Bitcoin and permaculture are the way forward. These movements overlap nicely and strengthen each other.

Lol. The two tailpipes really adds to this

Lol. Nice way to add fun to a good question. Now will anybody give a serious answer or just underwear jokes?

If I am just wearing underwear, should I call them onlywear?

Not to mention riling us up. Many Christians are vocal against the trans aganda, so let's poke them on their big holiday. 'This will get them fighting amongst themselves'

I would guess a very long time. It is likely just surface rust. I have seen old fences made with these, they were covered in rust, but seemed fine. Posts will need replaced before the fencing.

There is much more room than the first pictures led me to believe.

I like using these hog panels for making arches for trellises and greenhouses. This winter I kept my chickens in a hog panel greenhouse. I just attached my small chicken tractor.

I agree. I don't mean to offend anyone. Just making a joke.

It is a direct attack on traditional family values, but this does not mean anyone has to celebrate this. Easter was likely chosen to push us to fight among ourselves. Since many Christians are vocal against the trans movement, I believe this day was chosen to get us riled up.

This type of programming is being shoved at our kids in many ways (school, TV, ect...) I just see this as another reason to 'opt out', pull kids out of public school.

If we pretend bunnies lay eggs for easter, why not pretend that men are women and women are men. Lol

Going through the garden this morning. Everything is growing great just planted some melons cucumbers, kale.

Aquaponics system with koi, goldfish and minnows. Propagating mulberry, mint, bottlebrush.

I bought a wen chipper from Amazon for about $100. I chipped up a 5 gallon bucket of biochar in about 10 minutes. The only thing I did was wet down the biochar so that it wouldn’t be as dusty. I did wear a mask. Worked really well, just waiting for my woodpile to dry.

If anyone is around Houston, and wants some free elderberry plants send me a message. I have too many at this point thanks

Looks great. How do you take care of plants under your shadecloth arch? I don't see any way to reach plants in the middle

Is not being poisoned and left alone too much to ask?

Sad thing is transitioning away from chemical farming is simple. This does not mean its easy.

Soy is very hard to avoid in processed foods. Soy lecithin must be the cheapest emulsifier available. It is in most products requiring stabilizing.

I also like to celebrate on 1/5 because I like to reduce my fractions.

I start to find morel mushrooms around 4/20, so I will be in the woods. I love this tradition, joints and foraging.

The halving can happen without me, I'll jump on here in the evening.
