Olive Grove Eggs

Chickens free ranging in olive groves lay great eggs, fertilise the soil, restore biodiversity and keep the cash flow. going when olives are on alternate fruiting

i've been having random thoughts about how to survive a massive tsunami, or even the flurry of water from a pole shift, and i remembered something that actually maybe i can make my stand here on this funny little island where i'm starting to feel more and more at home

a sealed, very strong-walled chamber with an opening below the main part of the chamber, think like a cave descending downwards, retains its atmosphere and stays dry even when the water level passes way above the level of the upper part of the chamber

the most robust way to build such a thing is to dig into the side of a mountain that is largely composed of heavy, large chunks of rock, some maybe even many meters long and wide, or even solid rock... seal up the interior of the walls with strong steel reinforced concrete and several layers of hydroisolation on the outside of it (tar is the best for this, heavy thick layers of tar, stuff that is solid but contains some lighter fractions that seal up cracks if it gets fractured)

a cave built with the main part of the space well above the level of the entry will not be flooded and the air in there will be good for as long as the volume of the space can maintain... of course you'd probably want to keep a bunch of compressed air cylinders and some carbon dioxide scrubbing sodium hydroxide device of some sort that you open up when it is sealed for a time due to the outside being flooded

such a construction can be a full time dwelling anyway, and makes it easier to also put a tin foil layer along with the hydroisolation to block out gamma/x rays of a sun in the midst of massive flaring, as is also associated with the phenomena of the pole shift (the disruption of the fields is what kicks them off)

we have about 13 years until there is likely to be such incidents of intense X100+ flares, with associated heavy x- and gamma and UV radiation ... plenty of warning to have an adequate, underground structure built that in the circumstances here... about the only thing that i'd have to think carefully about is what happens if the exterior gets totally covered in dirt... haha... gotta have some way to dig back out, and quickly, before the stone sets too hard for the amount of depth that has to be dug out

anyway, i'm sure there will be ideas for how to deal with that... well chosen location will certainly help, probably want to build this near to the top of a ridge so there is like 10m above but not likely place for a huge amount of material to cover up the entrance badly

anyway, point being, this seems like a possible way to survive a massive catastrophe like i think is coming, like the Noah's Ark story... but what you can learn from reading other stories about the great catastrophe is that others survived in different ways... the Magura Cave in Bulgaria is an example of an underground living area that humans were in just about 12000 years ago... which is exactly when, i believe, the sun had its last superflare, and the flooding was part of the pole shift, both rain and seas moving up over to the land as the crust shifted its position (the steam from all the volcanoes being behind the rain part of it)

it is not a great time to be looking forward to as a species, it's typically 1200-2400 years of hell

but if it is what it is, what are you gonna do?

something! gotta try something! not gonna just lay down and die lol

fascinating thought experiment. One obvious question: what to expect when you emerge? Madeira will have lost a lot of its charm!

No..I was struck how simple it was to scroll through a post from nostr:nprofile1qqs0fk6jwz7ejxchh6s7d5p473w7uwffr8pfga9m4sgrgtfz836wp5qpzfmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ucpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ez6vp39eukz6mfdphkumn99e3k7mgdykz55 with a bunch of paintings listed. The option to contact direct to discuss price and do a deal all p2p, no middleman.

A marketplace, as in a list of trusted suppliers, should be a personally compiled thing.

I speak as the opposite of a consumer monster, most of my purchases are on food, and I try to keep it local. So my list of purchases is probably not as extensive as yours :)

Been watching older Brit TV detective/ thriller series from 90's. It's mad how posh everyone is, and no apologies for how it is - the state rules for the benefit of the upper class who live in the most fabulous homes. And if you aren't in the upper class you live in a 2- up 2-down, speak like an oaf and are treated accordingly. Almost like a parody, but the shows are what would have been considered serious TV with big time actOrs. Proper propaganda and class laid bare.

Super Saturday... my little un turned over a tomato bed to cabbages, while I grouted tiles, cleaned kitchen. Then taught her to play the Jose Feliciano song Feliz Navedad and took turns playing each other's favourite tracks. After cooking me a delicious lunch she's off with her friends now and its my time for a cuppa tea and a scroll through Nostr.

Every day should be a Saturday like this. It used to be, years ago. Saturday and Sunday my average earning parents did plenty of fun things with us as a family. They had a car, we were fed and clothed, never had fancy stuff but never went without for the important things. Productive, educational, no need for mega money or fancy houses.

Now what? Society sold on the idiocy of working 9-5 6-7 days a week for tarnished shiny things, too distracted to see what is missing, too endebted to change when they do.

Bitcoin fixes this. Hard working people can get ahead, as prices drop and time regains its worth. Time to consider, think, plan clearly.

100k is a mega milestone. It's potential is being proved in numbers that everyone can understand. 100,000 big ones for something you can't touch but exists because there is proof of the energy expended to launch it into the system.

The possible is more possible than ever with hard money at the foundation, especially living simple but rich with the ones you love.

What a fantastic exposé of a lost generation!

That letter should be distributed to the world by the Nostr CEO. It lays out clear as day why Blue sky and all that came before are a failed and ridiculous experiment.

Centralised control and overbearing rules are a perfect recipe for perpetual self flagellation, stifling conversation, division, hobbling progress and missed solutions.

100% freedom of expression on Nostr is so non intuitive through a blue sky lense, yet such a successful tactic to bring out the best in users.

I can say whatever I want, do whatever I want, and nobody can stop me. And if I choose to break a law or upset someone, hey everyone, there are still consequences. But I don't need some Karen or control freak neighbour down the street to sign a petition to make me behave reasonably and positively.

Long live Nostr, or just throw social media in the toilet and get back to putting pen to paper and chats down the pub.

The sooner this burgeoning side of the social media economy crashes the better. The walled gardens have addicted their users and now are going to QVC them to death. Lovely.

Drinking tea feels so much more satisfying than booze. That's it, from an old drinker who doesn't miss a drop.

Does anyone else think that if nation states mine bitcoin that the slow starter regimes will just go hard after their own citizens' bitcoin?

And there must be a lot of OGs who have more bitcoin than many nation states will be able to buy. If bitcoin is this building block of global finance, there must be all sorts of strategies being war gamed in state departments.

The plebs have played the NGU game beautifully. Is it set up for others to hijack?

I'm a bit of a scratched record, but be careful of unintended consequences of an extreme diet, at least long term. Feeling physically good and being healthy aren't the same. Rather than just listening to your body, get regular top notch blood tests, where they check as many minerals, vitamins as possible. Here in Spain getting testing is no big deal, especially if you are over 50. Should have been more on top of it, and spotted the cause of misfires years ago

"The Final Days Of The Syrian Arab Republic V: An Outroduction Of Hope, As The Day Is Longer Than The Night.

We are in dark times.

The losses are great.

The pain is staggering.

And the tragedies are seemingly too copious to count.

We have to be dignified and honest enough to admit the Ls... So we can then overcome the Ls.

It's the most vulnerable we may have ever been.

However.

And we emphasize... HOWEVER.

Our Resistance against 'Israel' was never predicated on one state; one president; one country; one movement; one personality; one group; or even one axis.

We resist the bacteria called Zion because it's the right thing to do and it is incumbent upon us as Muslims to follow the path of "amr bil ma'rouf w nahy an al-munkar (enjoining good and forbidding evil)" no matter what.

And using Islam as our guiding light, we know from the "Accounts of the Townships" in the Holy Qur'an - i.e. the peoples of Nabi Nuh (A.S.), Nabi Shu'ayb (A.S.), Nabi Hud (A.S.) and Nabi Saleh (A.S.) - that every time one nation or people that is blessed with guidance falls... Another one rises.

Because the struggle is perpetual and Resistance against tyranny, oppression, falsehood, injustice, usurpation, godlessness and arrogance is eternal.

The Syrian Arab Republic is gone.

The Syrian Arab Army has disintegrated.

But insha'ALLAH... From the ashes of [undesirable and dislikable] Baathism, which was NEVER a viable ideology to achieve true and full liberation, something new will emerge.

Like... A Khomeiniist-style "Islamic Republic of Syria". Or... An SSNP-inspired "United Revolutionary Nations of Bilad al-Sham".

The Resistance Axis has taken major blows... But it remains in the trenches. It has been knocked down... But it has NOT been knocked out. And if you know boxing, you know that in the BEST of wars, the battle hasn't even really begun UNTIL someone kisses the canvas.

Ansarullah, in the last 72 hours has hit three US ZOG supply ships and two destroyers in the Gulf of Aden; it has bombed "Tel Aviv", "Ashkelon" and the "Yavne" settlement of "Ashdod"; and also executed a joint op with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq against a vital southern IOF target.

This is a sign from ALLAH (SWT). The nation that betrayed Yemen has descended into chaos. But Yemen itself is growing in might DAILY.

Hizbullah, the REAL target of the regime change conspiracy against Syria, maintains its fingers on the triggers and is no doubt biding its time for the fast-coming day that it will have to blast the occupying Jewish monsters again.

And Imam Sayyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei (H.A.), who forced the implementation of Operation Truthful Promise II despite Piggish Pezeshkian, will also force Operation Truthful Promise III despite Piggish Pezeshkian.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (R.A.) instructed us, "Strengthen and fortify your faith in the leadership of His Eminence, Imam Khamenei (may his shadow lengthen and remain over us)."

So we will do just that.

We will trust the Rahbar (H.A.) and also go where he can't on certain issues because of safety reasons, following his instructions to "Fire At Will".

We will hammer away at the Jewish-led conspiracy that has stripped Syria bare; expose all the crimes of the "moderate rebels"; and pick apart at the betrayals as more and more information leaks out.

We won't be deterred.

And we damn sure won't be silenced.

We now end where we began with a repetition: Rest in salaam to the Syrian Arab Republic; the Syrian Arab Army; and the once-resistant government of Syrian President Dr. Bashar al-Assad--may he be judged for all the good that he has done and all that he has failed to do, especially in the end.

Never forget that the day is almost ALWAYS longer than the night.

What's next will be greater. What's next will be better. What's next will reach higher heights and more righteous stations. And what's next will be of even more profound service to the holy cause of liberating Palestine.

Long live Syria, down with the "rebels"."

I find most of your takes inflammatory or difficult to swallow, but I still read a lot of them. It's healthy that you can carry on expressing your opinion from an angle I don't identify with and reassuring that no algo is trying to make me engage, and I can turn you off if I want. Nostr is different like that! Cheers

Back streets of #Barcelona. Not a bad backdrop. Don't ask me what the fairy tale building is, I'm the least curious tourist in town. My abiding memory is the trees, massive trees in the streets 5 and 6 stories high. #architecture meh

My observation is that novices should always start a garden small and as close to your house as possible. The least friction improves your chances of getting hooked on gardening. Then extend.

This soil erosion has zilch to do with any natural phenomenon, climate or sun spots. A track cut into a hillside planted with non native pines and subsequently denuded by a road maintenance team that keeps itself in perpetual work stripping off topsoil, making sure the hillside is unstable.

This is a microcosm of manmade #ecosystem destruction. Paid for by tax payers. What a scam world we live in. #nature

Yep.

Get ahold of nostr:npub1ugnq57hn8va6xqr5zywy2eunem6c624583vkt0dmv40ep7tnnxkqrr898l. He has both and his 4 is my genetics so I can directly vouch for it.

You should be able to grow this stuff there. Keep it shaded for afternoon sun and it will be better.

Added to bookmarks, thanks 👍

Zapping you sats for your fly avatar which is really irritating. 😂 Nice one!

You got me on Bocking, I don't know what that is. But definitely used root cuttings. Tubers, right?
