Did you know, that until 1913 senators were not chosen by popular vote? They were appointed by state assemblies. Your post is a perfect example of how corporate interest controlled senators use advanced marketing techniques, to sway the lowest common denominator.
I think Congress acted in their own personal self interest and not the interest of the people in 1913 and that a great way to get money out of politics would be a return to the old system, plus introduce term limits.
I don't understand this conflation of Bitcoin with ultra-libertarian/conservative values of owning high powered killing machines.
It's ok to support economic/monetary freedom via #Bitcoin and at the same time realize that there may need to be limits in the amount killing power that one person is allowed to hold in the name of freedom.
nostr:npub17u5dneh8qjp43ecfxr6u5e9sjamsmxyuekrg2nlxrrk6nj9rsyrqywt4tp, do you support the right of individuals to hold tactical nukes to preserve freedoms granted in the Constitution?
I do. “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Does not mean “government regulated.” or “individual.” Private armies have existed throughout history and the outcome of the revolutionary war would have been much different without them. I believe the 2nd Amendment was a warning that Governments always get too big and intended to allow for private armies with equal power to that of the federal government to exist in order to ensure the freedom of the people if the need to challenge the government ever arose.
A counter question, how can a Bitcoiner support a centralized government that exists mostly to grow itself and limit individual freedoms? There is more broken in the way the people are governed than our money.

Electricity fixes that. Three wires about six inches apart. I use a 0.5J (1 mile) fence energizer on about 1500ft of fence. They test the fence often. I can tell because they make a very unique sound when they get shocked! However, even though they don’t have much of a physical barrier they won’t try to get out, even for food. It only takes a few days to fence train them also.

I’ve owned my own business for a long time. Been accepting bitcoin for years. This is what convinced me.
1. Credit/debit card transactions cost money. Generally around 3% of the total sale once all the fees are added up. (Transaction fees, swipe fees, qualifying criteria, etc.) A lightning transaction costs about one tenth of that. Say something like “I prefer to pay you In a way where you keep all the money.”
2. Settlements are almost instant. Credit/debit processing is batched, usually daily and deposited overnight. Sometimes longer. The pitch would be “from my wallet to your wallet instantly with no middle man or processing company”
Feel free to hit me up with questions or feedback. I’m here to help. The way to orange pill the world is through the decentralized sharing of information.
We’ll, since Disney made the “little mermaid” black…did the sub really disappear or was it stolen?
Between the cost of the chickens, coop, fence and feed that first egg cost $1000. However, last week we processed 5 roosters and today we collected a dozen eggs. “Slow.. then fast.” Just like so many things in life.
Got my first egg this week too! Buff orpingtons. Congratulations! I had a lion king moment. “Ahaaa, I got a tiny egg…” I threw it into a stir fry we had for dinner and called it “the most expensive meal ever”.
I’m surprised Jim Carrrey isn’t being canceled for playing that character 30 years ago… holy shit, that was 30 years ago… 50 is old. #greybeard
First pumpkin of the year! Chicken for scale. My pigs love pumpkin and the big gourds save a ton on feed. #garden #homestead #grownostr
Congratulations! When did you get engaged to John Fetterman?
Mine has been working fine. Been listening to podcasts while working all day. iPhone 13.
Let’s call it “Burn a tire for Gretta day” and post pictures like this.
Darth sounds like a “Lotus 1-2-3” user that wouldn’t adopt the superiority of a SQL database. #oldschoolcomputing
I am 50 years old. USD Inflation has gone up about 750% in my lifetime. Assuming USD inflation ONLY goes up another 750% by the time I’m 100 years old bitcoin would have to hit $1.7 million/bitcoin for me just to break even. I will HODL till I die. I’m teaching my children to HODL till they die. I will teach my grandchildren and great grandchildren to HODL. Hard assets like bitcoin only appreciate and it is the accumulation of hard assets, not “money” that creates wealth.
Turned three pigs into pork on Monday. Here they are hanging in the cooler, chilling out for a couple of days before we butcher. “Mama” was about 300lbs and the “teenagers were about 120-150. I’m new to homesteading and this was a valuable learning experience. Thanks to Jeremy for inviting me and Obi and Jeff for teaching/helping out. #homesteading #butchery #livestock #grownostr
I had one of those! Transform it and take a picture. #oldschoolcool
The central character is completely irrelevant to the outcome.
