Freedom minded homesteader, chicken farmer and pig castrator

Was out doing farm chores and garden work this morning. I guess I didn’t pull the door all the way shut because when I came in for breakfast around ten there was a rooster in my kitchen!

This is “Big Papa” my buff Orpington rooster, you can see where he gets his name.

BTW, if anyone within an hour of 37880 (East TN) wants to sell me any other type Orpington rooster or do a straight up trade, please reach out to me.

Me too!

Now add a “financially secure” check box… when I was online dating about 10 years that was in a lot of profiles “looking for someone who is financially secure” hahaha… next!

What isn’t said is that Becker and his cohorts were most likely encouraged to invest in those instruments by the federal reserve and government. What I see here is Becker, not throwing the bigwigs under the bus, so he is surely likely to “fail up.”

Dude is real. Zap is coming as soon as I finish this comment.

What makes one think that “climate change” is not normal? There is nothing in the historical or anthropological record to suggest that the earth’s climate is not constantly changing? 65 million years ago, when dinosaurs lived, the earth was so warm Antarctica had forests. At one point before the dinosaurs, giant insects were the dominant species. Oxygen levels were so high that air would be toxic to humans. Before that, at one point the earth was a snowball and only microbes survived under the ice.

Don’t get me wrong. Pollution is bad. Peak oil is coming. But have you ever seen a lithium mine? Talk about raping the earth! Look at what we do to make titanium or selenium. We are just trading one form of pollution for another.

IMHO, pollution is the biggest problem. If I can’t eat it, drink it or breath it… I don’t want it in my environment.

Prove it, zap me and I’ll zap you back.

Do you put anything in the water to supply nutrients for your azolla? I put some in 150 gallon stock tank with some fish, but that one has a pretty healthy recirculating pump and a fountain, I think there was too much current. It all died. Next I tried some in a seed tray with a little bit of potting soil in the bottom, but that one had too much light and turned brown. I thought that stuff was easy to grow but I can’t seem to get the hang of it.

Feels good doesn’t it. Lots of #homesteaders here on Nostr. Welcome to the community.

I think the real danger of your idea is also the benefit. If you were being investigated and the non-KYC wallets were somehow tied to you then you might be in danger of enhanced charges such as interfering with an investigation or fraud, or whatever. That being said, they would have to tie a non-KYC wallet to you as an individual.

Wow, I assumed this was real estate since OP mentioned the housing market. Thanks for educating me.

Now I can see how one might jump to the conclusion that if lending on C&I goes down that means business is slowing, then people loose their jobs and eventually their homes? It’s a reasonable assumption.

I agree. I’ve worked in residential real estate for a long time. Commercial real estate and residential real estate are two different animals. So much so that they have non-corollary market cycles. Don’t get me wrong, residential has slowed significantly and could take a serious dive in the near future, but Jack missed the mark with this one.

I am loving #homesteading this is today’s harvest.

Originally, intellectual property rights were designed to allow the inventor a few years to market and sell their idea. Which, IMHO is not a poor concept.

However, as the copyright began to run out on Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney lobbied Congress in order to extend the time period for IP rights. IP rights have been extended several times over the last 95 years through lobbying and bribery. Mostly due to the efforts of the Disney corporation.

Currently the Disney corporation is lobbying Congress to extend IP rights to 125 years because the rights on Mickey Mouse end next year.

I’m sorry, IMHO, lots of people have lots of good ideas all the time. However, if you can’t bring that idea to fruition, then you don’t deserve the profit from marketing and selling that idea.

This is just another example of big government and big business robbing the individual of the right to earn.

I think “white guy” is a banned term on YouTube. One of my favorite channels on YouTube is “Niggas On Da River” or “NODR”. It’s just a couple of dudes that fish, but use a lot of ebonic colloquialisms. They’re good fisherman and actually go on new adventures that are quite interesting and educational.

The channel was almost extinct and I think they stopped promoting the channel for a while. Then a video went viral on another social media platform and they started filming again. Their most recent video has 388 views in the first hour. Most videos have 30,000 to 40,000 views within a month and their most popular video has 1.7 million views. Anytime I use the term “white guy” in the comments it gets blocked.

It appears to me that political correctness punishes anyone that’s not conforming to the standards, regardless of skin color or background.

Here in the south we eat “poke salad.” Made from the leaves of a young poke plant, which are boiled twice to break down the toxins. We stirfry the the detoxified leaves in a little bacon, grease and then throw in crumbled bacon, sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Follow any recipe you find VERY CAREFULLY, eating untoxified poke leaves will result in pain and sickness similar to eating green rhubarb.

Yeah, they will take more than they want and give some back when negotiating a peace agreement.
