THIS IS FREEDOM!
Hello and #welcome to #Nostr 🤙
Check out this post that will suggest a few simple steps to help you get started: http://lnshort.it/nostr-welcome/

You should go for a mobile client like Amethyst or nostr:npub1plstrz6dhu8q4fq0e4rjpxe2fxe5x87y2w6xpm70gh9qh5tt66kqkgkx8j
Not really. It's up to the developer to decide which Markdown version to support. On top of that each client has different approach to embedding Nostr-native events.
Here's a breakdown of how Habla does this: https://lnshort.it/habla-features/
These are translations of the “Welcome to Nostr” guide, not the Habla platform. Not sure if Habla is available in Persian yet. nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg must be aware of that.
But we do need the Persian version of a quick guide on #Nostr for sure! I’m sure nostr:npub1csamkk8zu67zl9z4wkp90a462v53q775aqn5q6xzjdkxnkvcpd7srtz4x9 has a ton of people to shill it to.
Thanks for providing feedback while I was composing this, Jon! It helped a ton!
Exactly. Basically replies are “kind 1” events, which are supported by the most popular clients like #Damus, #Amethyst and #Snort. So users of such clients see your reply as a new note. This is something that I believe should and probably will be addressed in the future.
At the same time Amethyst, unlike the rest of “general purpose” clients supports long-form posts - kind 30023 events - which allows its users to see the original posts. Hence, this makes your reply look like a reply.
I knew I’ll have to say good-bye to Damus with #zaps sooner or later. Looks like the time has come. nostr:note1lckrwgv40ysugy7qhvlsly9nxws7ywh9xptq8qaz98cw7uxtjs8sa6cvxl

A never ending reminder that Nostr Nests don’t have a NIP-07 verification 😄 nostr:note1tqdtxg5a64y58lrgr04xp6k8wpwh9u86vqj0ukz08su8vt0fy0vqlje92t

Thanks! I’m still researching, but wanted to hear a non-YouTube opinion 😄 definitely leaning towards this model.
I’m very comfy with my Apple devices interoperability, but that’s exactly what keeps us on the hook. I’ve decided to start now and take it slow. The longer you wait, the harder it will be.
My plan is to get an Android phone while keeping my iPhone for now. Move essential apps - mostly the ones related to open protocols - to Android first. Then see if I can ditch iOS all together.
I have a friend who has a windows laptop, an android phone and an ipad. 😂 He somehow gets around, so I think I’ll manage too.
Here’s a Real Life Pixel 8 Pro in the Wild

Looking into pixels right now. You know, cause Apple’s a bitch. What’s your take on 7A, Derek? I’m looking into a more pocket-friendly option and not a fan of huge screens.
