Change is the essence of life, just roll with it. I am who I am now, that can and will change or adapt as each new moment presents itself.
This fucking sucks. Kahlua the #cat is leaving us now as his breathing slows and he nears the light. I was taught a good bit about death and dying when young but it still isn't enough to properly prepare the mind for the process when it happpens. Our cultures are blatantly negligent in these teachings, most likely to keep us with our good little consumer blinders on.
He had a good life and we kept him safe, happy, and healthy.

Our tired old boy spent yesterday on the bed. It's nearing his time to go and we loved on him regularly throughout the day. All he has known is the farm and there is no way I will take him away from here to die scared. He is at home and at some point in the near future will be at peace.

Hospice care just fucking sucks no matter the subject. Our cat is on his last days and the goal is to keep him good and comforable here at home. It's nothing when it's a farm animal that lives out in its pen but when it's one that has been an ever present presence in the hosue for 14 years it hits a lot harder. He and I have been at odds most times but this sucks.
I kept the printer going all day as a bit of distraction and have a set of can racks made for the fridge. These are going to do wonders for organization on the middle shelf! The boys were rather stoked on the pennjy whistles I got printed for them and they even sound quite good too!

I can't stand a sporran, I wear a utility kilt 8 to 9 months of the year and it would always be in the way. My latest from Utkilts has 14 pockets of varying sizes.
Pool noodles come in handy for so many random things around the farm. In the absence of "normal" pipe insulation I found this hunk and used it to wrap the heat tape and water line by the coop. I'll find out today if it's enough or if I need more, I may just make a cover for the stub out of foam that would really trap heat.
I've been keeping the K1C going almost nonstop and finally shifted over from the Dummies to a can rack for the fridge. I remember these in the 90s as a kid so it was rather nostalgic finding the model files, so I had to get them printing. I know I could probably buy them premade for a couple bucks but I'm learning by making them.

This seems a VERY unnecessary when D3 is not bad tasting at all and is still orally active. For other active medicinal ingredients it could be quite nice to mask the taste though.
Who knew there was a 3d chocolate printer? Again seems unnecessary...
I went to fill the sheep water yesterday morning and found the hose bib was frozen. The line up to it wasn't so thankfully just plopping the little space heater by it for a while did the trick. I have to retape the wire and wrap in foam today so this doesn't happen again this winter.
Finally got my endo appointment and the root canal is scheduled. I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few people in the world right now who is actually LOOKING FORWARD to a root canal... The sooner the sooner the abscess can begin to heal.
Oh and the whole TRON 20% thing... Hive has had 15% or better on HDB savings for over a year now and is doing just fine.

WTF!? This is cool as shit! Problem still is there is no individual sensor per feather or way to rotate the feathers to properly mimic the flight of a bird. A bird can feel each feather and move it to adjust it's flight path. We can't make that and won't be able to for a while. I feel like it is going to be a hydraulic system rather than servos or steppers/etc, but will need the machine learning/AI to control it all.
Rather funny watching him in his ortho appointment yesterday. All the manipulations to expose the teeth for photos had us laughing pretty hard. He was a good sport about it and they even had ice cream for him at the end. The spacer will keep his teeth spread so the adult tooth will have room to come in in a couple years and not bork his mouth.
Dummy 13 kits are getting pumped out as fast as I can and will be sending them with the boys to school. They are free to sell by the licensing so we're figuring $5 is an easy price and one parents won't balk at when their kid brings it home.

The printer was going all day yesterday with various parts for the dummies. The boys took theirs to school with them and J came home with a bunch of requests for them. One kid wants one to use for figure drawing poses! So far I have 4 complete sets printed and will be pushing out a bunch more frame sets today.
Wrestling season has begun with the first practice and the first tournament ins't until March so they have a lot of time now to get dialed in before competing. At least he's not the smallest or one of the smallest kids on the team anymore. New rule changes this year mean I want to work with him a lot on take downs and trips.

Maybe Benchy gets to stay? Seems more an over reaction by Prusa than a demand by NTI...

Oppfh... That has me thinking for sure. Maybe make them the family safe words? Then everyone is very well versed in them? Otherwise everything else is physical and can be "stolen".
These Dummy 13s are killer! They look just like Issac from The Orville and are incredibly expressive for little hunks of plastic. We all have one now and I'm working on printing up a bunch more. The first thing I had to find and print out was the toilet... just because. I had myself in fits of giggling all evening yesterday.
#ManUtd did something?!?! Only by sheer luck and an injured missing Jesus from Arsenal. The Kraken reinforced their 5th from last position with a super loss. At least it was good watching the Matrix movies again.

Some solid lessons learned yesterday as I fought with the PLA filaments. It just didn't want to play nice until I finally figured out to slow the flow rate of it and kick the nozzle temp way up. I screwed up doubly by resizing the model which borked the fit of the pieces. I'll be retrying again today with the new info. These 2 Dummy 13 fiugures came out quite nice though.
We now have "patchy freezing fog and mostly cloudy" as far as the weather forecast shows... Thank GOD I have my daily Vit D powder bolus.

Always loved Akira because it's AKIRA, Trigun as Vash is a really well done character, and Vampire Hunter D was one of my favorites as a teen.
Too funny!

The only saving grace for soccer is the lack of commercial breaks. I can just imagine the "ad breaks" during the gladiator fights.... "Columns! We've got your columns! Big columns, small columns, ANY Columns..."
You just hand wrap the clear for the threads? No form?
