Sending attachments is something the SMTP protocol supports, but emails are not obliged to contain attachments. As a matter of fact, the majority of emails probably don't include attachments...
Similarly, Nostr supports Bitcoin, as a feature, at the protocol level, but sending Bitcoin is entirely optional, and in the majority of use cases, it's probably not relevant...

Not a perfect analogy, but email servers all speak SMTP. So, different email clients can all send messages to each other. In a similar way, most Nostr clients can speak bitcoin to each other with zaps.

Some ideas for keys.band 🔑
1. Don't have a scary ostrich on your landing page 😉. Instead keep it simple and professional with a nice screenshot + a catchy tagline. On scroll down, you can showcase the multi-account features etc as you do now 👌
2. I'm guessing users most often stick with the same setting for the duration, so I'd make that a dropdown menu that remembers your last choice. Instead of the group of slightly confusing radio buttons you have now.
3. I love the multi-account feature but wished it was easier to quickly switch in between them
4. Logo is too detailed for its small size in the browser. I would minimalise that and maybe even use it as an opportunity to signal status:
5. History (activity log) is one your top features, but is two clicks away in settings (?). Why not make that the default view when you're connected to an app? Makes the "verify don't trust" part a lot easier.
6. Light/Dark mode suffices for an extension.

Amidst what's going on lately, I thought it might be a good time to remind everyone that nostr:npub155m2k8ml8sqn8w4dhh689vdv0t2twa8dgvkpnzfggxf4wfughjsq2cdcvg supports both PayJoin and CoinJoin.
So if you're running a BTCPay instance, you can:
1. Withdraw Bitcoin from exchanges with PayJoin, obscuring the amount to outside observers.
2. Auto-initiate CoinJoin when certain conditions are met (desired Bitcoin amount and fee market).
Bonus: You can easily run your own coordinator, mixing your Bitcoin without using mainstream services and coordinators.
This could be a great asset for local communities with regular Bitcoin flows (e.g., DCA of members) to boost privacy collectively.
The best part? It takes about 20 minutes to set up. I'm considering creating a video guide - would you watch it if I did?
