I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this. I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Gm nostriches, met in work by a β€œ25/26 workload plan” email this morning from a manager I think is a total prick.

My workload plan, ditch this joint, maybe be persuaded to do some hourly work to supervise students (and have access to journals), but spend most of my time working on #Bitcoin, oh and being the best version of myself.

It’s gone from wanting more time to not wanting to be part of a system that does wrong to young people. In my β€œyou’re a bad person” training, all I could see was universities and anyone promoting that students go to university as being part coercive, and abusive relationship.

Wondering how the system will react when I submit a safeguarding referral form outlining how every student is a victim of abuse. Anyway, #coffeechain for the win

Praise be to God.

First time in a month or more my body finally woke up naturally.

Albeit 0’Dark-Thirty…

But that’s the way (uh huh) I like it!

Hitting the basketball gym in another two hours with my son so for now, it’s #coffeechain and devotions for me and Abby Rose (our doghter).

The last two days of #homeschool has been incredible in at least one respect.

Thanks to Ember, my son is interested in #Bitcoin (mostly because he can β€œbet”, make predictions, on sports games).

While I don’t love the idea of β€œgambling” I do love probabilities and #trading #tradestr

So it has given us a way to connect…

…AND that connection is opening his eyes to:

And I think the beautiful thing is it hasn’t been me lecturing to him about these things; he’s coming to me with questions which lead to beautiful conversation.

To be transparent our home education style has shifted several times over the years.

From the more structured virtual school with live lecturing to asynchronous learning videos and digital learning assessments to where we find ourselves now which is more of an #unschool approach…

Basically looking for ways to connect real life to what he’s interested in.

Either way, I’m grateful to God for allowing me the time to be able to pour into our son.

Due to what I am declaring my most successful Kombucha yet we now have passionfruit on the ceiling due to a volcanic fizz on opening.

The beagle is helping with clean within her reach but we have vaulted ceilings and she is only short so now I'm in for a huge cleanup.
