Talked to a friend the other day who runs a small business. He's not a bitcoiner but I've talked to him about it here and there. He mentioned how much they have to pay in credit card fees, so naturally I brought up the ability to circumvent that using lightning. I showed him Zaprite and he seemed genuinely interested. At $25 per month for a Zaprite subscription, and assuming that you save 2% in fees and pass half of that savings back to the customer (i.e. you save 1%), you'd need to get $2,500 per month paid in Bitcoin. The conversation ended with "this doesn't quite make financial sense... yet" but I don't think it'll be long until it becomes a no-brainer for most small businesses, even if neither the business nor the customers care about Bitcoin.

Today is my last day of maple sap collection for the season. weather broke and trees look ready to bud.. I turn buckets upside-down so small amounts of sap don't drop in and then sour/mold before I collect and clean them. I collected almost 7000 gallons of sap in buckets and bags this year. a bucket will fill in about 8 hours when sap is running.

1. Sat price always 80% of fiat price.

2. Customers have the right to claim fiat diff back if bitcoin goes up, within 1 month time. For example, if customers spend 10 dollars worth of sats and bitcoin goes up by 30%, customers can claim 3 dollars back within a month or get the same amount of goods in the same fiat price.

people won’t think in investment for every single purchase. It’s just too much to think about.

Money back policy will be great. If there is a software to automate it, better. The software can automatically redeem customers without them claiming at the end of month.

Brined overnight in 2 gallons of water, 2 cups sea salt, 2tbsp of curing salt, 2 cups brown sugar, cloves and powdered mustard seed and apple cider vinegar.

Smoked at 250 for two hours with apple wood and finished in the oven to crisp things up.
