There may be someone where you park asking for money to park. If you go early they may not be there. So its either free or nearly free. And try not to leave anything important in the car.

If you're going to La Fortuna (Arenal), make sure to stop at the natural and free hot spring. It's a river heated by volcanic activitiy. There are mini waterfalls too.

When youre driving from San Jose to Uvita for Nostrica, take a stop at crocodile bridge. It just a normal bridge you drive over, except this one has many huge crocodiles that hang out near it. Park and walk onto the bridge, then look down. Its safer than it sounds. 🤙

That looks good! Another plantain thing thats good is smashing pieces of green plantain into disks and frying that way, like a thick chip. Then dipping in blended black beans.
Its called patacones in Costa Rica, but I think also in other latin american countries.
