People often ask, why should you run your own private Nostr relay? It's simple. You run a private Nostr relay to backup your own data. This puts you in control of your own data. This prevents you from getting censored or rugged. If anything happens to the relays that you use, you can re-broadcast or transmit your data to other relays if so inclined.
Tools exist in various capacities to accomplish this, but I'll recommend 3 that I've used.
The shadowy super coder route:
https://github.com/cameri/nostream for command line ninjas.
The pleb route:
Umbrel and Start9 both have one-click relay options. Umbrel's is probably the best.
If you're running youf own relay which has all of your data cached, and that relay is listed in your public list of relays, why would you need to re-broadcast it...? Are the other clients and relays unable to fetch your content from your published relay?
Put your NIP-05 identifier in your bio instead (: Much easier to remember so no one has to copy/paste it.
Facebook's event manager really is a nice tool. Wish there was an open, decentralized equivalent. It really leans on Facebook's network effect though, that would have to be replicated in a decentralized manner...
Gudetama!!! (:
Sneak peek of some #Bitcoin #art that I'll be bringing to the #Bitcoin2023 conference in May (: Look for me in the Art Gallery!

Keep in mind that right now it can cause unexpected behavior to run multiple clients at the same time. People have had problems with them synching follows which causes dropped follows and depending on the relays you're using on each you may get wildly different feeds.
Not surprised with all the inscription cruft in the mempool...
Some clients are even downloading videos and audio files even if you don't try to play them.
Don't care about views, only engagement (boosts, likes, zaps)
I've added all my feature requests as Github issues (:
Depends on the retention policies of any servers that see it.
Nothing is forever, but data packrats may come close...
