Supporting a decentralised future of sound money and technology. Study Bitcoin. Run a node! ITM!

If you want a link to mine, to copy or see how I set it up, just let me know.

Yeah, I discovered that yesterday when I loaded it up my kids standing beside me and got a bunch of nudity, thankfully they were looking the other way at the time. Not cool. Not a good idea to allow mature stuff back into the main page and could at least blur images with a filter.

Kinda hard to account squat when it's a walled garden. 😆

Recently bought a freezer for the garage and stocked it with meat from a local farm. Should have done this a looong time ago! 🙂 Looking forward to meeting more local farmers. #foodstr

It's been really cool to hear about the work in food markets that nostr:npub12pl4h7pk0svg8ug4mhu7a90hn6nf83eqadd94pccgsafn73s392qpt42wq has been doing.

It's only on three relays: nos, damus and one other. Maybe that's why you're not seeing it? I've had this before and I had relays that matched, so not 100% sure.

Later today ill be babysitting my nephew he is 10. He's on summer vacation and I can tell he is bored. Makes me sad a bit that he doesnt have kids his age around where he lives and it seems like kids dont get together like they used to to hang out. Lucky for him, I'm the cool active uncle so I try to see him often to kick the soccer ball around, go to the pool, talk, play fifa etc. When I was younger I was blessed most the families on my road had kids my age so we were always outside playing basketball, street hockey, roller blading, playing made up games. It's how I became so competitive, I was usually the youngest and at a disadvantage but I would practice a lot after we hung out and I eventually started winning in all the games we played until most of my friends didnt want to play anymore because they couldnt win 😂 .

Back to my nephew. I'm thinking of setting him up on a weekly allowance of Bitcoin for during chores in the house for his parents. I'm going do a weekly chart of multiple tasks and he will have to get it checked off for each day. Do you all have any good ideas of good things I can reward him for doing daily like making his bed?

I'm deciding between Breez and Phoenix. Leaning towards Breez because the apps tab that has bitrefill. This way he can buy Playstation gift cards himself and hopefully he thinks twice about it after he truly starts embracing stacking sats and savings. Shill me the easiest self custodial lightning wallet if you think it would be suited better for this use case.

My newphew told me a couple weeks ago he wants to save money so he can go to the USA to watch World Cup games live in 2026. Im hoping the bull market is around the corner and it opens his eyes to why saving in something scarce like Bitcoin is the way to go. The orange pilling has begun.

Anything zapped on this post will go to my nephew later after I set him up on Breez.

Also he got this for me a couple months ago for my birthday 💜. I got it on my work desk.

Wish me Luck!

Been using something similar for chores for our kids. I created an spreadsheet that I can print out, at the end of the week I enter the chores into the digital copy and it auto tally's the amount and then pay them sats via lightning.

If they miss a day or chore, they still have to do it the next day, but they don't get paid for it.

Built in audience. When content posters get ad revenue they'll gladly put on the walled garden chains and talk about it how great it is to put their money in their X bank account.

Nothing time sensitive is ever going to go off without a hitch. Thanks for the run down and your time.

Not touched on in the video, but my biggest concern was when I saw the bitcoin was handed out with cameras rolling (not sure if was all filmed or just a small percent). I know the truckers were all on a self organized list as well, but still. Just a reminder to keep info minimal in an adversarial environment.

I was just walking on my usual trail when I heard some rustling branches a couple feet away. I kept walking casually, thinking it’s probably a deer.

Then I heard a loud grunt.

I know all the “black fight back” and what not but I was PETRIFIED. I got super hot and dizzy.

After the initial shock I slowly looked back to nostr:npub1cj8znuztfqkvq89pl8hceph0svvvqk0qay6nydgk9uyq7fhpfsgsqwrz4u who was about 20ft behind me and motioning to me not to run.

We began a brisk walk back to the car, the rustling moving parallel to us before abruptly stopping.

Hearts pounding, we made it home.

Moral of the story: be careful even on familiar trails, and be aware that sometimes you don’t respond how you think you might in a dangerous situation.

Bear spray is just as effective as a gun, easier to deal with and allowed on trails close to town/city. Get a holster and then it's available quick. Get a storage container for transporting the canister in a vehicle. Store outside the cabin if possible. You do not want that sucker accidently going off inside the vehicle. Practice with expired canisters. 😉
