Then they don't have someone telling them how to do things. No one needs the EU, NATO, World Bank, IMF or UN except for power hungry bankers and politicians. They're all systems of control.
The best keyboard I have found for Android/Graphene OS is FUTO. They also have offline voice to text. It works with Bitwarden and has swipe typing.
India and Pakistan right now

Someones gonna get an eye poked out, and it will be the guy running in from behind. Shouldn't the stick be infront of you?
A Bitcoin node does take about 1TB to store the timechain. If you want freedom money it REQUIRES responsibility.
Running a Bitcoin node does not take a lot of technical knowledge if you are just doing the basics. There are a lot of guides and a whole #noderunner community to ask questions of.
There has been a lot of confusion for new people bitcoiners about what a Bitcoin vs Lightning node is. For those that came in being introduced to lightning only they get the use case, but not the core values. (Hopefully that makes sense). If you want freedom money and you want to protect your money you run a Bitcoin node.
Lightning nodes run on top of Bitcoin nodes, but you do not have to run a lightning node. Lightning nodes are high harder to run and they require higher end computers. That is where some of the confusion about node running comes in.
A basic Bitcoin node can be run on a raspberry pi, you just have to have enough storage and at least 4 GB of ram. A two terabyte drive is pretty normal now, as it's future proof.
Easy to run Bitcoin node software:
- MyNode
- Start 9
- Umbrel
- Raspblitz (I have not used, but apparently it's similar).
Hope that helps. 🙂
Every single bitcoiner should be running a node! Don't trust, verify. If you're not running a node, you're trusting someone else to not lie to you and your not enforcing the rules of Bitcoin that you agree with.
A "wallet" is just the key that proves you have ownership, it should really be called a key or signer. The bitcoin doesnt move into a "wallet", it's in the timechain/UTXO (aka blockchain).
Would she be open to doing a three day test?
1. Wash the dishes first.
2. Rinse the dishes first.
3. No rinse.
See which one comes out clean.
Correct, but if we fill blocks full of contracts and other data then there's less room for payments, the purpose of the network. It's a lot of different trade-offs to balance. I feel as if these changes are accepted then there's a good chance we start having a block size discussion right away because there's not enough block space.
I think we really need to keep it simple and focused or we risk blowing it all up.
Headline is not real, but they have been looking into doing this.
Bah, still seeing models with same names and different hash numbers.
It's for the benifit of myself, but it's for others who care about the same ideals/rules. The incentives rule. I don't quite buy the argument for it's all about me. One person is important, but also nothing when it comes to inforcing rules in a decentrilized system.
Sorry to jump in here, but I've heard there are issues with privacy and google notifications. Would these notifications be encrypted using Google?

Thank you for taking the time to try and understand some of the nuances. I had a fairly good idea, but not exact. Looking forward to seeing potential responses, but seems unlikely that anything like this is a good idea for a monetary network.
I listened to a lot of discussions for ordinals/runes and I just don't see these uses needing to be directly on the timechain. Seems as if they could be on an L2 or some other solution, but generally people seem to want to jam extra info it into the timechain in a sub-optimal way.
After reading a few posts I understand that there are some rules about not personally "targeting" someone on the github, but pointing out facts/concerns and not being able discuss it as adults is childish. Instead of banning, maybe all it would take is removing personal name(s) from the original post and make it focused on the incentive problem and the company?
Spam/excess data effects node runners. Node runners are the people who voluntarily run nodes to enforce the rules of the network, without them you don't have decentralized enforcement of bitcoin rules. More data means more storage space required on the node. Keeping it smaller allows the average person to run node, right now we're creeping over 1TB so those who haven't moved to 2TB will need to upgrade. SSDs are the best option, but they aren't cheap and they blowup every so often. If you want to go all out and protect your node data then you need 2 for RAID and that's gonna get pricey.
I still don't quite get why this extra data can't be put on an L2 that people can choose to run or somehow linked to the main timechain instead of directly on it. It seems messy with people just triyng to jam it in instead of getting a better solution.
From what I've seen they completely understand it. They are also stacking it seperately from the ETFs. They want no one to hold it directly. ETFs will be the first thing confiscated by government as it's just a large honeypot of capital. #notyourkeysnotyourcoins
Government will likely get to a point where it's going to blow up their system. So they'll confiscate the bitcoin because it's it's the hardest money ever and pay out the "paper holders" at a low fiat dollar amount. Just like they did with gold in the past.
Often X users seem to think that the centriziled system X was given to them to save free speech, so they're not interested in a truely decentrilized system. They just want to support the system that supported them so there is an emotional tie.
Of course that could be changed at any time.
Fascinating! AI can be 6 times more effective in changing people's views than humans by... checks notes... lying the hell out of everything (like pretending to be a rape victim).
How were they so effective? Before replying, another bot stalked the post history of the target, learned about them and their beliefs, and then crafted responses that would perfectly one-shot them.
Very unethical experiment, but it shows the true power of what unscrupulous people can achieve with these tools.

Garbage in, garbage out. AI is only as good as us.

Great video. Companies like Blackrock have interest (shares) in bitcoin mining companies, so isn't it possible that the miners have agreements with them and are selling to them directly and likely at the lowest price possible?
